Shelley, you need to have a business plan before you do anything. I am sure Angela Sutcliffe can help you with that. Then connect with other psychotherapist online, I recommend joined a couple of LinkedIn groups. Ask them some questions about setting up their businesses. LinkedIn groups are a great source for information in you field. After that, you can work on your business setup and marketing. You need to have clear goals to know which actions to take. Congrats and good luck!:)

You definitely came to the right place for help at LWL! <3

Congratulations Anastasia Beaverhausen! Have you already met with MD Management locally? If you are also a Physician they have great resources to help you get started on the right foot for your medical practice. I also know of a location on Carling Avenue that has a consortium of psychotherapy/counselling practitioners in the same building-they may have some space (not sure what their current situation is) - happy to share. Feel free to message me. Cheers!

I'd be happy to help with branding, collateral & website/online presence - actually just finished a site (plus SEO/SEM & mobile) overhaul for another local group of psychotherapists at http://abundantlivingcounselling.com and they're thrilled - new business is up. Message me if you want to chat.
