When I was that age I went thru the same thing. I was 40 years old before I found a dentist that didn't scare the heck out of me and put me into a cold chill. Then I found one here in Cedar Rapids. He is so good that kids get into fights to be the first one to get to go in. He loves kids and they all love him. He is Dr. Wes Cervney here in Cedar Rapids. Well worth the trip.

I would stay with Dr Enloe. He would be way better than Dr Evans. I quit taking my kids to dr Evans because of the way he treated my son and back then I took him to Dr Brechon... my son loved him and he is great with kids

In Coralville, Polly Iben DDS. I was traumatized as a kid and I did not want my kids to have the same trauma. I know several of my friends that go to her and she was recommended by Dr Enloe DDS. She is amazing and the drive is well worth it.

A LOT of the local dentists are referring to pediatric specific doctors for younger children. We were referred to Dr. Matthews in Burlington and liked them.

He referred me to a doctor when he saw my blood pressure was sky high. ... turns out it was just my fear of the dentist. .LOL. Dr Jones pulled a tooth a few months ago and I didn't feel a thing

Been seeing Dr. JONES at River Hills. Awesome Dr, his knowledge, manners and the full attention he gives his patients. Highy recommend him. WAS seeing dr Enloe, but after 13 yrs he dropped me like a hot potato due to the fact that he was no longer going to accept my insurance. Very rude the way it ended.

Davis county Dental is great, slightly expensive, but go to River Hills! Dr. Dye is FANTASTIC! I had a root canal done by him and it was reasonably priced plus minimal pain. He's excellent and would recommend him any day of the week. Plus they have a sliding scale. They take your income into consideration if that's an option you need!

I had an emergency just last month and Dr Gillespie was the only one who made the time for me. Seen and treated in the same day. Pain free and reasonably priced. Highly recommend him.

I like River Hills in Richland. I drive over an hour to go to Dr. Hilger. He is amazing.

I go to Osky dental when I had problems he was the only one to get me in the next day. Very good personality. The whole staff there is great.

Don't go to Aspen Dental.

Dr. Enloe in ottumwa! He is THE best!!!

Many of the dentists here will be hard to get into. If you have issues, go to Osky Dental. Dr. Dan takes care of me there and does a great job! They can get you in same day usually because they don't accept title 19, so their waiting list isn't full as you'll find with Ottumwa.

If Osky doesn't work, Davis County Dental is good as well from what I've seen. My son goes there normally!

Dr. Roth in Fairfield is good too.

I went to Dr. Evans as a child (over ten years ago), &he was terrible. He made me HATE going to the dentist because it always hurt. He's far too rough&careless. I have loved going to the dentist ever since my mom switched me to a new one.

Dr. Evans doesn't do braces does he? You would need to go to an orthodontist for a free consultation. They would take pictures may even do molds and send this information to your insurance company for approval. You also have the option to pay out if pocket if the orthodontist agrees your child needed braces. I have 4 children who are in or have been in braces; each case was decided by an orthodontist not a dentist.

I take my five year old to Osky dental. Love him.

Enloe is great with kids. Burlington dental is great with specialized stuff that Enloe refers .

I have known Dr. Enloe for many years, my daughter thinks the world of him, highly recommend giving him a chance and Patritto for the braces

I have also used Dr Evans for my daughter the last 12 years. He has always been professional with us. His staff has always been great also!

The only problem I have with Dr Evans is that he said no one in their right mind would put braces on my 13 year old because he is autistic. So because he has autism, he doesn't deserve a nice even smile? So we are getting another dentist for my 13 year old. Never had any problems with him with my other 3 kids, and he is the one that referred me to U of I to get my oldest's tooth rebuilt when he broke it at school.

Go to Cynthia Phillips. She is amazing!

I have a serious fear of dentist and I will only trust Dr, Stream! He is very understanding and knows what he is doing. He gets in and gets out! He won't make you set up another appointment unless you prefer to do so.
