Vickie C. replied:
As far as I know, Kim Brown is a nurse practioner. But she is excellent. I'm a retired RN with major health problems. I needed to find a good, reliable physician here in Ottumwa even though I have a specialist in Des Moines. I did the best thing to think of and asked working nurses who did they recommend because they know a lot about their care of patients and their personalities and I was told Dr. Sandro Younadam. They were right. He's young and I hope he stays a long time. His wife has been my OB-GSYN for 3 years. He's very conscientious and I feel I'm in excellent hands. I also have nothing to say against Dr. Reiter because he is also a very knowledgeable physician. He was the medical director for the ICCU at St. Joseph Hosp. when I worked there. He's not retired yet but I wanted someone that I could stay with for a long time. I'm too complicated, pain in the butt patient to change doctors again. lol I hope this was helpful, Bill
Theresa C. replied:
Dr Veronica Butler
Brad B. replied:
Kim Brown at the Mercy Clinic. She is an ARNP but I have never been happier with any primary I've ever had! She takes the time to listen and is exceptionally thorough. She even called me on a Saturday personally just to ask if I was feeling better. She is one in a million and truly an amazing woman! Give her office a call!(641) 682-4594
John B. replied:
Dr Dawson, who I believe shares the practice with Dr Younadam. Excellent doc as far as I'm concerned. Staff is first-rate, too.
Laura G. replied:
I personally do not like younadam but my dad who is a pain seem to like Dr Dawson. Very nice and will do what he's got to do to find out what's wrong with you.
Who is a good adult doctor that can get you in same day? I don’t go to the doctor often so I’m not sure where to start. I’m pretty sure I got the flu and ear...
Lori R. replied:
North Hyvee's Clinic or Bloomfield hospital
Vicki F. replied:
Any walk in. Best place probably would be either the Get Well Clinic or the walk in by aspen dental. That way if it is the flu it's contained in a Drs office. If you go to hyvee that's not the case. Flu can be passed by breathing in your air. Hope it's not what you have. Get better.
Jordan B. replied:
Eddyville Clinic
Teila L. replied:
Dr. Trina settles at Davis county hospital
Bill F. replied:
I go to Pella Health care good care
Tabitha W. replied:
I would say the walkins are getting a bad rep because people don’t understand , you don’t go to any walkin and been seen right way there is a waiting period , the walkins are limited to what they can treat , but they are great for the flu , strep , Uti , small cuts , ear infections ! And an antibiotic is not going treat a virus ! The great thing about the walkin by aspen dental is now you can go to the website and save you a spot , there are only four time slots you can save per day but it’s like scheduling an appointment , go to ottumwahealthgroup.Com and save your spot ! so if your feeling ill stop by and see a provider they will get you taken care of !
Janice R. replied:
I love the Get Well Clinic, they always try really hard to get you taken care of in a timely manner. And the plus for me is they have more than one person taking care of patients now, so that helps also. Give it try you'll love the Friendly service.
Claudia W. replied:
I have a lot of results at Davis county hospital, Haley Skaggs is a nurse practitioner and we love her
Nichole W. replied:
Pella clinic!!! Dr vanmonan
Angie P. replied:
Get Well Clinic can usually get you in. They are not open till 8 am but have an answering machine and usually good about calling back.

Josh G. replied:
I would strongly suggest that you actively research the physician(s) that you are considering. I have had some in the past who I would never return to. A good doctor will take a proactive approach to your well-being, and work towards helping you maintain good health. Some only treat an illness/injury as it occurs. Make sure you end up with a physician that you trust with your health. That's why I see Dr. John. Find the right choice for you, and good luck.
Anyone know a good doctor to go to for headaches? I've always had them maybe a few times a month but now they are getting more frequent. This is my fourth day this week...

Dr. Pogel comes to ottumwa every Wednesday. He's been my neurologist for the past 10 years. His office is located I Fairfield. But he comes to an office here once a week.

So I have had my kids see Dr Evans 4 a dentist since they were babies. My daughter has needed braces 4 the last 2 years & he has told us we need approved. 2 1/2 yrs...
Heather J. replied:
Dr. Evans doesn't do braces does he? You would need to go to an orthodontist for a free consultation. They would take pictures may even do molds and send this information to your insurance company for approval. You also have the option to pay out if pocket if the orthodontist agrees your child needed braces. I have 4 children who are in or have been in braces; each case was decided by an orthodontist not a dentist.
Laura G. replied:
I take my five year old to Osky dental. Love him.
Daphane H. replied:
Jennifer Lea Hodson he's been saying this to us too
Deborah W. replied:
Worst dentist ever! When I lived there I went to him. But he scared me to death!
Gwen B. replied:
Dr. Enlo is great.
Shelley W. replied:
Enloe is great with kids. Burlington dental is great with specialized stuff that Enloe refers .
Harold S. replied:
I have known Dr. Enloe for many years, my daughter thinks the world of him, highly recommend giving him a chance and Patritto for the braces
Carrie T. replied:
I have also used Dr Evans for my daughter the last 12 years. He has always been professional with us. His staff has always been great also!
Tonya P. replied:
The only problem I have with Dr Evans is that he said no one in their right mind would put braces on my 13 year old because he is autistic. So because he has autism, he doesn't deserve a nice even smile? So we are getting another dentist for my 13 year old. Never had any problems with him with my other 3 kids, and he is the one that referred me to U of I to get my oldest's tooth rebuilt when he broke it at school.
Susan G. replied:
Go to Cynthia Phillips. She is amazing!
Amie P. replied:
go to Dr thompson in Iowa City in the same office as Dr Suzanne Stock who does braces on kids all the time with all insurance

Andy A. replied:
I do not recommend Betchel at the Eddyville Clinic. Was told she was as good as Molly Franke (who was the best) but she had a flat bedside manner and wrote offensive stuff in my record.

Gooden chiropractic is great! I'm sure they will do x-rays and Tara looks for the reason pain is caused not just adjusting. She also gives suggestions to help it not reoccur! I took my baby and she did wonders for his colic!
