Does anyone have recommendations for a good dog boarding location that allows your dog to play with other dogs? We had looked into Gardner Animal Hospital but it seems...

I absolutely second Camp Bow Wow in Olathe. You can even watch your pup online!

We go to the pet ranch but, is very pricey as we usually only board on a long vacation like 7-10 days. We have 4 dogs and usually pay $500-600 dollars. I think I am going to look into Mystic Acres before our next trip in October. If you have time you might try a visual if you are particular. My doggies are spoiled!!!!

We love meeting new dogs and we shower them with endless amounts of lovings! Also, they will be able to splash in our pools and or play fetch with the pack! :D We also have play equipment for them to run up and over on (just like they have at kids daycare). www.PawzatPlay.com

Camp Bow Wow in Olathe at 151 st and Lone Elm. Our dog LOVES it.

Camp Bow Wow is a lot more expensive than GAH. We personally like our dogs to stay in their own environment because they always get anxiety and get sick while we are gone. We have Danielle Motter come let our dogs out 2-3 times a day and she lets them out as well as loves on them for a while. It is cheaper and she loves animals!! She has a pet sitting company. I know you will get several amazing references from this page for her. I am pretty sure she likes my dogs better than I do sometimes.:)

LifeTime pet here in Olathe off Santa Fe! I work here and we would love to watch your dog! They are out all day long and kenneled up at night if boarding! $15 for daycare and $25 for boarding! Would love to meet your dog! Please call for more information! 913-764-4626!

Pet owners - cheap/good boarding recommendations? I will be out of town for 5 days and need to have my dog and cat boarded. Any recommendations for places that are cheap...

A former co-worker of mine started up Paws around the Plaza a year or so ago, I'd give her a call, your pets will get more attention with her than anywhere else. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Paws-Around-the-Plaza-LLC-Kansas-City/131117596942888http://www.pawsaroundtheplaza.com/

you can't leave your cat alone for 5 days? the dog i understand but kitteh are usually independent enough to manage on their own...
No to kennel creek... My all time favorite is All Things Dogs KC in Martin city. Cage free/open play, 2 acres of real grass and land and owner lives on site
[Serious] Need recommendations on SAFE and RELIABLE places to board my puppies. I have two adorable puppies of the large/giant breed. They will be around 8-9 months old...

If money is No Object, you might consider hiring a pet sitter. No chance of getting kennel cough if they're only around each other. Also, for what it's worth, I wouldn't board my pet somewhere that didn't require Bordetella vaccination. It's pretty standard in my experience

I use Rover. You can interview the potential boarders beforehand and it's generally cheaper than the big boarders in the area.

Lots of good options in town. We use Dog Pawz Leawood and really enjoy it.
LouDiamond replied:
we do a pet sitter for our dogs when we leave town. couple personal friends do it, so we always hire them. it's definitely the way to go if you can find someone you trust.

As a professional pet sitter who has also worked at vet clinics, boarding facilities & day cares, I definitely reccomend a pet sitter. Your dogs get individual attention, they keep their normal routines, you wind up spending the same amount of money as boarding and you don't have the worry of your dogs sitting in a kennel all day or getting sick/injured from another dog. That said, the only boarding facility I would use for my own animals is Pooches Paradise in Waldo.

I’ve used Rover for a few years now for my clan (2 cats and 1 dog). I get such a peace of mind knowing that they’re all together and have someone watching them in the comfort of my home. There’s a few options where you can have someone do drop ins, they can pet sit in your home or their home. It just depends on the sitters options and what you prefer for your clan. If you need a suggestion on a person I’ve used Chelsea N multiple times and she’s my absolute favorite. All three adore her and I’m fairly sure my dog was disappointed I came back home from vacation to Italy cause that meant no more Chelsea

I board mine at my vet (Jackson Animal Clinic) in Platte City. They are great and I feel better that they are at the vet and not some rando place. The boarding girls take great care of them. They run $18 per dog I think? Somewhere around there.

We do the vaccine yearly and we don't board.

If your dogs like to play with other dogs, someplace like Camp Bow Wow or Woof’s is a a good deal. I am more familiar with Camp Bow Wow. There’s a location in Westport and one in Olathe. I looked at the website, and for your two dogs, it would be $63/night. I know this is pricier than boarding at, say, a veterinarian, but your dogs get to play all day in this setting, rather than being locked in a kennel the whole time and being all amped up when you return home from vacation. There are always employees in the room to break up any scuffles. You do have to take them in for a free trial to see if they interact well with other dogs.

Woofs play and stay. They have two locations in Merriam and Leawood. My gf uses them often when traveling and has always had great experiences. Plus they have live cameras you can look at and see all the animals they have with staff or playing.

I sometimes use Eagle Animal Hospital. Private rooms, completely enclosed outdoor play areas, and webcams in the rooms. But you have to book pretty far in advance. Though since finding a really good person on Rover.com, whenever she is available for housesitting my dogs get to stay at home.

My grandparents use Chapel Hill Pet Resort in Bates City. They pick him up and drop him off from them in Leawood, so my grandparents don't drive there. He looks forward to it!! Book early for busy holiday times.

I always take my dog to Summit Pet Care. It’s affordable and a vet is right next door

I’ve done Camp Bow Wow and it was fine, but it bugged me that even on a gorgeous day they still had the dogs in a cement room inside. And none of the dogs seemed to really play, they all just kinda sat and stared. (The doggy cam is a blessing and a curse). That being said I would still trust them to take good care of my dog. More recently we’ve used Doggie Stylez on Westport Rd which is a groomer/doggy daycare/boarding. It seems like more of a family run business where they seem to really know and care about our dog having a good time.

Highly recommend Eagle Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. Call now and get them a private suite - they have webcams.
I need a dog sitter this weekend and next. She is well behaved with cats, doesn't like small dogs or female dogs. Other than that she is good. I can pay you in handmade...
Anyone have a great dog sitter that they ABSOLUTELY love & would recommend that comes to your home???? I need one in a couple of weeks... In less MY FAVORITE DOG SITTER...
