I don't know if this post is allowed here but this is my grandmas cat, Bob. He came home like this. She doesn't have the money to take him to the vet. Would anyone know...

VCA Mission also accepts Care Credit. That might be the best bet.
Glenn G. replied:
They can call me at 913-226-0656 and I will put $25 worth of the office visit on a credit card. Like I said, we need to know what's going on and then we can work a plan for financial help
Mr. Jaxon needs a new vet in the OP/PV area. Any recommendations for my sweet angel?
Jonny P. replied:
http://www.fairwayanimalhospital.com Highly recommend this place!
John L. replied:
One thing to ask vets over the phone is if they allow you to fill pet prescriptions like Heartworm meds, or others through 1800 PetMeds, PetCare RX, or other online companies. I had to stop going to Noahs Ark in Brookside since they wouldn't fill prescriptions unless it was with them.
Joe P. replied:
Dr. Gates at PV Animal in Corinth. He wrote a book on dogs and training them.
Chad J. replied:
I go to Fairway Animal Hospital but it's also 5 blocks from my house. So it's walking distance which is nice to not have to load/unload. It's probably a bit pricier than most vets I've heard, but I have VPI so I get usually 80% of all maintenance costs reimbursed to care/notice. But the care is really good, they are almost always running on time, and can get in quickly if need be
Jason B. replied:
Family Pet Hospital. Best in town. Dr. Frerking is the best AND they don't charge an arm and a leg.

Vikki L. replied:
Troy Lynn, thanks for mentioning Dr. Snyder, too!! We are so fortunate to have so many great ferret vets within such a close radius!!
Does anyone know of a vet that allows you to be billed?
Gina M. replied:
No, but we took our cat to a new vet today. Called and told them we saw online that they offered a free first office visit (worth $62). They were quick, caring and efficient, didn't try to upsell us a bunch of stuff we didn't need and they also accept Care Credit. They have applications in their office or you can apply online. http://cherokeeac.com/
Does anyone love their vet and want to recommend him/her for my kitties? I'm considering changing vets, and would like to stay in the 95th and Metcalf area.
Cecilia H. replied:
This isn't 95 th and Metcalf area but I've heard Dr. Steve White (Cure parishioner) is so great! I have two friends that go to him and only say amazing things. We are thinking about switching over to him with next check up. We've gone to Metcalf South (103 & Metcalf) & Fox Hill (107 & Roe). If you were looking at either of these, private msg me and I can share more!
Karen H. replied:
Tomahawk Animal Hospital at 75 th and Lamar. Little bit more of a drive, but we absolutely LOVE Dr. Pippin!
Mary Q. replied:
I second the motion for Dr Steve White. His office is located around 60 th & Mission (Fairway Animal Clinic) but you will love him. We gave gone to him for years. He is 100% pro-life with humans and animals. (He prayed with us at Planned Parenthood last Friday. He is also in Permanent Deaconite program so he can become a Deacon for the Archdiocese and he goes to Mass everyday. He loves all animals and has an extremely kind way of treating their needs.
Molly W. replied:
I second Molly B's comment. Dr Gib Benschoeter (sp?) at Mission Rd Animal@95 th & Mission. Great care by all staff, and Gib is a parishioner (last time I checked)!
