I drive directly past Dr. Janowitz ("Jarowitz" - Synergy) every time I go to my chiropractor. I have lived in Oviedo for a long time and have friends who either went to Dr. Janowitz, or chose not to for the same reason I wouldn't go near his office. He is a typical "rack 'em, crack 'em" doctor. He doesn't take insurance - and his office even told my friend her insurance wouldn't cover her treatment when in reality, her insurance just wouldn't pay HIM because he won't accept insurance. He then told her she needed to pay him several thousand dollars per year and gave her a guilt trip when she said she couldn't afford it. This isn't a gym membership. It's medical care. Orlando Spine & Joint, Dr. Yeomans, is incredible. He's in Winter Park, but it's worth the trip to me to go to a good doctor. His # is 407-637-8300.

Well put, Michele Mingoia! That is why I go to Dr. Yeomans. He wants me to get better (like a normal doctor should), not get just good enough so I have to come back every few days to line his pocket.

Dr. Lonnie Mead in Longwood is AMAZING!!!! My BFF had seen MANY chiropractors and Dr. Mead is the one that actually treated and corrected the problem. I have personally used him for years and I can hobble in his office crooked and walk out somewhat straight after one adjustment. He has also treated my father who was VERY skeptical, but walked out a believer and visited him 3 times per week after the initial successful visit. He doesn't make you undress as some chiropractors do and he is NOT about money. If you are down on your luck and do not have insurance he WILL work with you! Truly a great chiropractor and human being!! The staff is amazing also and I have never made an appointment and yet have never waited longer than 15 minutes to be seen.
