My friend who goes to the Cleveland clinic suggests you check out this link http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.clevelandclinic.org%2Fdisorders%2Fperiodic_fever_syndrome%2Frheumatology_overview.aspx&h=8AQFHbE6 b
Arlene C. replied:
You could check with Dr Kapraun in Montrose. He does a lot of specialized stuff and my family goes to him.
Trisha G. replied:
The closest person is in Detroit, a pediatric rheumatologist (Dr. Adams), but I'm willing to drive farther if we can get in sooner. There are apparently only a handful of doctors who have the ability to do these tests.
Trisha G. replied:
Thank you Tonya! The doctor we were referred to, Dr Adams is at Detroit children's hospital too, but his first appointment is in 4 months. We have been dealing with fevers for 8+ months and bouncing around to different specialist. I am very anxious to get to the bottom of this. We will travel out of state if we need to, if we can find someone who can get us in more quickly.
Trisha G. replied:
Yes, I have seen that and read many many other articles on periodic fever syndromes. Thanks for passing it along. I need to find a doctor who is able to do the testing! Does your friend happen to know a doctor at Cleveland clinic who does?
Steve G. replied:
The Cleveland Clinic is one of the finest hospitals in the world, I vote for it. I also have connections in the area, LOL, for support and things like dinner !!!

Dr. Jairam Rajan delivered both Mallory & Ashley. He's on Michigan Ave., right across from Sparrow I believe. I absolutely loved him. Of course, it's been 24 years since I've dealt with him last...but, he is experienced!
Sunny J. replied:
Janis has it. Dr Rajan was fantastic. He delivered Roman. He's Soooo kind and funny and I was beyond comfortable with him. He will not prescribe much medication if any during your pregnancy though.

Personal opinion I would not recommend Dr. Roth at sparrow. He doesn't know how to talk to anyone... Let alone a prego woman

I like Dr. Badra and her office for my whole family, but are you looking for a primary care physician or an OB/GYN? If the latter, I see Dr. Maney in St. Johns for that.

I've been seeing Dr. Barbara Gurden for the last 15 years but she is in Laingsburg. She's moving into a different, larger building there, bringing in another doctor and will have lab & x-ray services onsite. If you don't mind the 20 min drive I totally recommend her:)

Hurley is the best for labor and delivery; they are the only Flint hospital with a NICU. As far as OB's I know Stephanie Smith delivered there and liked her Dr. There is also a midwife over in Flint, Shelie Ross might be able to help with information on that.

Nita Kulkarni is the best!!!
