We love Dr VanAlstine. He has been my Dr since birth and its who we take the kids too. He's never been a pill pusher to me and has been great about answering my nursing and intact questions. Appt times are almost always kept. The rare accepting us when he himself I working the after hours clinic (its the same building) but that isn't often and you can always ask to make sure.:)
Shantelle G. replied:
^^ That's all what I like to hear!:) My mom also sees Dr. Wallace - heard good things about her - just wasn't sure how she was with kids, but glad to hear she's just as awesome with them!

Dr. Malhotra was my pediatrician until I was 18. I loved him! And the nurses are great!
Vanessa P. replied:
I attend Dr. Shastry in Owosso and so far so good... Def not a pill pusher... If anything she will give you alternatives. Very good at keep up with appointments and callin in advance to remind you as well:)
Tina G. replied:
When I had asked about you going there they said yes. They do have a new Dr there now also. She is the Dr that took over for Dr Tilben who was our Dr when pregnant and after for all you kids. I rarely wait very long, they are thorough and patient. I love them!!
Shantelle G. replied:
Well, crap! Wallace is not able to see new patients until September as she's booked til then, Budai is not accepting new patients, and Malhotra is only accepting patients with Blue Cross or Cofinity insurance, neither of which is our insurance. Grrr!
Beth A. replied:
Dr Malhotra had my boys thru entire life !!! Awesome!!
Jolene S. replied:

Dr. Carter died not too long ago. She was my step daughter's doc. Anyway, I highly recommend dr.kramer, he is absolutely fantastic. My daughter loves him. He is very good about sitting down and talking with parents about any and every concern. He is quick to act when there is an issue and NOT quick to immediately put your child on unnecessary medication. Almost always xan get you in for same day appointment. Never a long wait in waiting room. He is just the best in Owosso. Couldn't ask for a better pediatrician. Oh n he's not one of those doctors that seem to almost talk down to you like you're stupid or something. Can't say enough good things!
Brandi P. replied:
Ya Taylor Rinz she passed in october or november..thats the office we currently go to
Samantha Z. replied:
Doctor Carter from health delivery? She passed away
Lindsey H. replied:

My friend who goes to the Cleveland clinic suggests you check out this link http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.clevelandclinic.org%2Fdisorders%2Fperiodic_fever_syndrome%2Frheumatology_overview.aspx&h=8AQFHbE6 b
Arlene C. replied:
You could check with Dr Kapraun in Montrose. He does a lot of specialized stuff and my family goes to him.
Trisha G. replied:
The closest person is in Detroit, a pediatric rheumatologist (Dr. Adams), but I'm willing to drive farther if we can get in sooner. There are apparently only a handful of doctors who have the ability to do these tests.
Trisha G. replied:
Thank you Tonya! The doctor we were referred to, Dr Adams is at Detroit children's hospital too, but his first appointment is in 4 months. We have been dealing with fevers for 8+ months and bouncing around to different specialist. I am very anxious to get to the bottom of this. We will travel out of state if we need to, if we can find someone who can get us in more quickly.
Trisha G. replied:
Yes, I have seen that and read many many other articles on periodic fever syndromes. Thanks for passing it along. I need to find a doctor who is able to do the testing! Does your friend happen to know a doctor at Cleveland clinic who does?
Steve G. replied:
The Cleveland Clinic is one of the finest hospitals in the world, I vote for it. I also have connections in the area, LOL, for support and things like dinner !!!
Anyone have a good pediatrician recommendation in the Owosso area?
Trisha G. replied:
Dr Shastry is great
Betty N. replied:
There is a new pediatrician in Health Park Building 100, Dr Kramer. Dr. Budai is great but long wait times a lot because she 'loves her babies'.
Hannah M. replied:
Dr Kramer in health park plaza
Jadi D. replied:
Dr. Reem Salman is very good.
Amy G. replied:
Dr. Salman
Ann H. replied:
We have been very pleased with Dr. Malhotra. It is easy to get an appointment and the office staff is very friendly. His nurse is very knowledgeable and good with little ones. The doctor isn't very chatty, but that is understandable when you have a lot of patients to see.
Kimberly H. replied:
Dr. Shastry....we love her!!
Dawn L. replied:
I have heard good things about all three above mentioned. I have only worked personally with Dr. Maholtra. True, he is not chatty but we really did trust our patients with him when he covered for us. That is not true of all of the old pediatricians we worked with! I would reccommend any of the above but especially Dr. Maholtra.

Sparrow Medical Associates - Dr. Luginbill, Dr. Newman and Dr. Ludwig. They are also OB's. I delivered my son through natural birth with them and as a ped they supported my choices to do a delayed vaccination schedule.

Dr. Izzo for sure!
Candice B. replied:
Dr. Jayne (spelling?) At MSU Pediatrics was wonderful with my daughter. She has a rare kidney condition and they took the time to figure out what was causing her symptoms instead of feeding her random medications hoping that they would help. They have offices in West Lansing, DeWitt, and Okemos.
Tim M. replied:
Dr. David Luginbill delivered my wife and all three of my children. He's across from Sparrow.
