Can anyone recommend a very good physical therapist in or near Oxford - someone that has really helped them recover from an injury? It needs to be someone primarily...

Talk to Noe Orozco Segoviano - lovely neighbour - if he is not right, he may well know someone who is.

Humphrey Bacchus at Eui du vie is great. He's a sports therapist with loads of holistic add on qualifications. He really helped me when I was still nursing and had a horrid back problem.
Andy D. replied:
Kelston Chorley at Oxford Osteopaths (on Cowley Road) has sorted out various shoulder, neck and back injuries for me over the past decade. He's good.

Slip discs in the lower back are usually because of muscles pulling on the vertebrae, usually due to spasm in the Quadratus Lumborum, and or Illiopsoas. Both of these muscles are incredibly emotional. The root would be in an emotional/psychological pain being expressed by you in the body because you just won't listen and stay attentive to it, accept its messages. I can certainly help, although remember whatever this is it has got to the point that it has pulled one of your spinal column joints this far off centre. There is alleviation which will make you feel once again numb to the message or there is facing it as loving master of your own bodymind. I imagine it has either taken a long time until the joint finally gave way, or you had a recent accident/trauma to help it along? Which? or neither? I'm available if you want the help, its a new page, but you can get the idea, a focused session is obviously a priority in this case up to you x https://www.facebook.com/bodhirishicorerebalancing

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering:(( I recommend John Garvey in Brackley (30 min drive from Oxford). McTimoney Chiro but qualified in many areas/ways. It's the most gentle form of treatment in this field - no crunching or twisting, just gentle manipulation. Whenever I've been broken he has fixed me in 1, at most 2 sessions, he's fantastic and very reasonable. Massage and chiro combined and has been doing it for over 30 years. 01280 700425.

Google Ian Maskell....I use him and he has various clinics around Bicester/summer town/Woodstock and also the dovecote at Churchill. He is really good and works with all disciplines. It should have his company details on there i can't remember his company name! X

I used to take Ellie to Sarah Bainbridge - in banbury, opposite the pancake cafe, near parsons street. She treats children
