Hi Emily I would recommend this guy for your bike servicing http://www.sportstechlab.com/Road-TT-Bicycle-Repair-Service-Oxford-UK-s/1938.htm As for the road tyres I have preciously been recommend continental GP4000 s tyres and they have been great all round tyres that I used through summer and winter.

Broken Spoke (Pembroke St). Very right-on co-op. Either they do it for you, or they can teach you how to do it yourself.

Beeline are good but a bit pricey. I've used Reg Taylor on Iffley Rd and they have been cheap and good on what they've done for me (mainly truing wheels). Tyre choice is a whole big debate but it mainly comes down to speed, comfort and durability/puncture resistance. 25 mm wide will be slightly more comfortable than 23 mm but traditionally 23 mm is thought of as faster (though that's another debate nowadays!). Continental Gatorskins (or Gator Hardshells) are one of the best for puncture resistance. Michelin Pro Race are fast (low rolling resistance) but more punture prone. Continental GP4000S are a popular choice for good a good comrpomise between rolling resistance and being reasonably puncture proof and you wouldn't go too far wrong with a set of them.
