I go to tupelo for Sam's (bulk foods) and big lots (gourmet and cleaning supplies) every couple months, beef at mccoys in ecru, and cash saver for day to day. Can't afford Wal-Mart or Dollar General in Oxford!!

Tell her to go to Piggly Wiggly n Batesville. Only a 20 minute drive. Family packs of chicken...$3. All meat is cheaper. I spent $40 and had 9 big packs of different meats. Its worth the drive. Cash Saver is high and u get taxed twice. Their pick 5 only carries chicken legs and the rest is microwave food nobody eats. 10% at register plus sales tax.

We're short on grocery stores in Oxford! Kroger is probably your best bet, especially shopping with a Kroger card. Cash Saver is really good for things like canned goods and cereals. We also have two Farmers' Markets and a small store called the Farmers' Market on the north side of town that have good deals on fresh produce, though as we get into fall there will be less available.

For better prices, her best bet is to shop out of town. You have to consider the gas, though, if only getting a few items. Piggly Wiggly in Batesville has the best meat in North MS. I shop Kroger for most everything else. Cash Saver meat is cheaper than Kroger and better, in my opinion.
