Titusville friends, I am looking for a new doctor for my mom. Her present doctor is not exactly a quack, but not engaged actively when she sees my mom. My mom tells me...
Lin H. replied:
Robin Wells-Stevens - how far south in PSJ? My mom lives in Titusville and I live in Palm Bay. I take her to the doctor most of the time. Can you tell me more about Dr. Worsley? Is she an internist?
Lin H. replied:
Thanks, Dawn. I called Dr. Laird's office. She is not a primary care, you have to have a primary care already.
Marcia M. replied:
Dr Jeram chapla is awesome. He is an internist. He is fabulous with seniors. He has over 100 patients between 90 and 100. My mom has been his patient forever. My dad was before he passed away!!!!
Lin H. replied:
Val Valek - does Dr. Anderson take more time if a patient needs it? If it were me, that's one thing, but with someone my MOm's age there could be more problems, etc.
Marcia M. replied:
BTW... my mo mis on hospice and Dr Chapla still comes TO THE HOUSE... I promise you your mom coukd never get better care/ very precise and detailed. FABULOUS!
Christina S. replied:
Dr. Anderson is really good... But the problem is, that everyone knows it and it's difficult to get in to see him.
Marcia M. replied:
Dr Chapla is on Garden street/ east of Park... and also the office manager is his wife! The staff has ALWAYS gotten my mom in the same day.... of course this is before her curent condition. and He is my doctor as well~
Amy W. replied:
My Dad and a couple of others that I know see Dr. OConner in the little strip mall on Counrty club in LaCita . She took over Dr.Dienst practice . I understand the office staff is very friendly and the Dr spends alot of time with the patient . She did wonders for my sister in law. Good luck:)
Robin W. replied:
Lin, Dr. Worsley's # is 321-504-0556 Her address 6205 North Highway 1 Port St. John 32927 You can google her. She is part of Parrish Health and also does wound care. Which is a diabetic problem. I've been seeing her now for about 7-8 yrs. and her staff is very knowledgable in the office. Hope this helps. I know the importance of having a Dr. that you trust and are confident in. Robin

Jerry M. replied:
Dr Ashok Shah, internist, is great. I'm diabetic and he takes great care to check me every two months. He was also my dad's doctor.
Kim H. replied:
Dr. Stephen Lagregren on Garden Street was my internal medicine doctor when I lived there before moving to Washington State. He came very recommended by a surgical nurse. I was very happy with him. He diagnosed me with Hashimoto Thyroiditis, too. H e has an excellent personality and is very professional. I also think Dr. Elliott Schuman is a fabulous doctor if there is a need for another doctor as well. Those would be my recommendations.
Dawn F. replied:
https://www.health-first.org/hospita.../aging_institute2.cfm . This is a link to Dr. Rosemary Laird. I have a family member that is treated by her and they love her.
Rev. H. replied:
I use an internist and he has been amazing even with me not having insurance. Dr. Charles Slattery. He is on Hopkins.
Martha H. replied:
In her late 80's I started taking my mom to Dr. Ricardo Rivera in Titusville. She lived to 94 and he was wonderful to her. While she was his patient I also started going to him and still do. Wonderful Dr.
Kelli R. replied:
Dr. Slattery on Hopkins is awesome, he provided excellent care for my Dad, who was diabetic. He showed great patience and was very compassionate to my Dad and our family.
Sherry C. replied:
I agree with Martha; Dr. Rivera is wonderful! He treats my mom so well, is very thorough, and REALLY cares about his patients. Also, Dr. Pamela Tronetti is the best Geriatric Doctor I've ever known. She took excellent care of my father until his passing.
Amy W. replied:
Dr . Rivera is also my Pulm Spec. He is a GREAT DR. as far as Pulmonary . I do know someone that sees him and they were having problems with their sugar and he referred her . He is so caring and compassionate and cares he would not like to misdiagnose . My father takes insulin shots and sees Dr OConner. I didnt think my Dad would be happy because Dr Dienst took care care of he and my mom for Years, and Dr Dienst doesnt have his practice any longer:(
Lin H. replied:
Sherry Anello Chycota - thank you for recommending Dr. Tronetti, unfortunately my mom won't go back to her. I took her one time. Dr. Tronetti was great but made a suggestion, I told her would privately would make my mom mad, (that she consider assisted living). She mentioned it any way and my mom won't go back.
Martha H. replied:
Dr. Rivera is a pulmonary specialist in Rockledge but in Titusville he is Internal Medicine/Primary Care. It's nice to see so many doctors listed here that people really like.
Dawn F. replied:
Dr. Torres does have privileges at PMC.
Lin H. replied:
I checked Elizabeth Roberts O'Neill and she does have Parrish privs.
Lin H. replied:
Stephanie Brown - she sees a Dr. Kodesh for something. I'm not sure what. Some of Drs in Titusville have spouses and relatives that have different specialties.
Mary H. replied:
I go to Dr. S. J. Lagergren on Garden St. He is an internist, but serves as my family doctor as well. I've been very happy with him. You don't have a long wait either. Five minutes and you're in.
Debbie F. replied:
Two of my friends are in their 60 s and one of them has diabetes. They were very impressed with her when he had a diabetic episode earlier this month and was in the hospital. The other friend just took his mom to her as a new patient, she is 85. Dr. Tor res even called them on a Saturday to go over the blood tests his mom had done. He was also very impressed with her. He said that she spent a lot of time with them during the appointment.
Val V. replied:
Doug Anderson, is about my vintage (56), a grad of UF. Down to earth. Doesn't nag me about my weight. He's a genuinely kind man. Not too chatty but was very sweet to my elderly mom. (I admit to a soft spot for people kind and patient with the elderly.)
Val V. replied:
Oh, and Dr Anderson keeps tightly to a schedule. IF my appointment is at 2:40, I know I'll be on my way home by 3. 267-6100.
I'm looking for a new primary doctor, haven't had one in over 5 years.....I never admit when I'm sick ....so yeah. That time has cone and gone. I was thinking of Health...
Heather M. replied:
Dr. Peterson's info though. I really liked him Dr. Frederick C. Peterson, MD Family Practice Physician • 2.6 mi 6100 NE Minton Rd #104, Palm Bay, FL 32907 (321) 724-1172
Lisa K. replied:
I love Dr Gelmen. She's in the glass building at the end of Hibiscus and US1. Internal Specialist, so she can do the girly appointments too. Two in one! I love having an internal specialist as a primary. So much better!
Heather M. replied:
If Nancy Layton is still around she is awesome and dr. Peterson used to be mine and katies doctor a while ago he is real good also.
Lisa K. replied:
She's private practice now. You'd have to call the office 914-0944. I promise, she's amazing!
Jocelyn F. replied:
I don't think she belongs to a big group...Brevard Health Care I think is the name of her practice. I'll PM you.
Need a new doctor - general practitioner for adults in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area. Any suggestions?
Loretta P. replied:
I'm meeting my new doctor tomorrow. Was supposed to meet him today, but he had to leave! Does not sound too promising. Dr. Marzano was my doctor too! Now Dr. Wahl... I will let you know if I think he is any good. So far I have not heard anything about him. He works the same office as Dr. Marzano!
Ann R. replied:
Norma, since Dr. Marzano left, I saw Dr. Tavares in the same office. He was acceptable.
Paul S. replied:
I see Dr Peter Marzano. I like him. But I only get sick every 3-5 years so it's been a while.
Ann R. replied:
Dr. Marzano left the practice to be a hospitalist which is why I saw Dr. Tavares.
Eldean H. replied:
Yes, loved Dr Marzano. He is working at the hospital now, thus the search for a new doctor. Guess what Paul, you need a new doctor too.
