I only have one room with carpeting and used Stanley Steemer once; very good, and they even move all your furniture for you, put it back with protectors under the feet etc. For your oriental rugs & carpets, though, you MUST use Prestige Rugs. Either their Amado Road (PS) location or AJ's new PD location.
