I used to use Duran's Pest Control (Jerry, owner) - in Indio but he comes out to PS, too. (760) 347-2066 or 342-1000. He's very thorough. I haven't had pest problems for over 9 years tho, as I use two RIDDEX plug-ins in the house.

I believe both Dewey Pest Control and Fraizer Pest Control will do one time sprays. They will have to find the nest however to take out your ants.

Coachella Valley Vector Control will come and treat your house for fire ants for free (every ~6 weeks). The water has to be off for a day before and after. They broadcast dry bait so the workers take it to the queens below. It takes regular treatments to knock them back. They never really go away, but you can keep them from overrunning your property. You can also do in between treatments like I do. I bought Amdro at Moller's. They probably have it at the big box stores too. It's easy to use. $20 for several treatments. Otherwise I like Rudy's Pest Control. Hope this helps.
