Dr Achim Noack is our son’s pediatrician. He speaks perfect English and has a wonderful way with children. Knowledgeable, patient and professional, I can not recommend him more highly.

Does anyone know of a good GP type doctor covered by Sanitas? Can residents go to the local health centre even if they are not a tax payer? Thank you
Nayna A. replied:
Whereabouts are you now? Dr Amit in Palmanova is a British gp - he takes lots of different insurances ( but you'll have to check re. Sanitas). Tel:+34 971 683 511. Dr Stoma doesn't take Sanitas, but you can pay directly (he is in Portals). You can only use the local health centres if you or your husband pay Spanish tax AND if you have health card with your "nhs' number on it.
Annalisa R. replied:
Dr stoma does take sanitas. Dr Amit doesn't but you can get 80% reimbursed from sanitas if you have the mundi contract coverage.
My girlfriend needs to see a doctor. Where is the medical centre in ibiza town please?
Also any idea how much it costs??
Thanks in advance ✌

You always have to pay first if not a resident and then claim it back at home. There is a hospital in Can Misses and one past Pacha club if you are on that side of town. Hello everyone, this has probably been asked a lot already so sorry if it's repetitive but does anyone know anything about having a baby on the island? Has anyone...
Lauren B. replied:
Can’t answer for insurance. I’m with Sanitas and you need to have been with them for 9 months prior. Dr Terassa at porto Pi medical is fantastic- his wife is a midwife, both fluent English. Policlinica Miramar was amazing for giving birth if you want natural - birthing pool, Amazing midwives. I had 5 in the room and one who spoke perfect English.
Noelia P. replied:
Dont suffer for that. Go through the public, it is great (specially Son Llatzer for maternity) great doctors, matronas, nurses, and the best equipment as Lorena mentions before. You get all the necessary check ups, the glucose test done, the down sindrome test done, etc. Actually, if your labor is in a private one and get complications, you quitw likely will have to end up being taken to the public one
