Amy Nickel Messer at Level 35. I have always been particular about my hair- one to many bad cuts. I messaged her and gave her a warning and it started with "i am not hard to please BUT" and listed all my expectations. I know enough about hair to irritate most stylists. I have curly hair and it needs to be cut a certain way. A lot of stylist can't cut curly hair or know that you have to blow dry it differently. I expected her to respond with "go away control freak!" She didn't. She reassured me she could do everything I asked. It's nice to have a stylist that I can go in and say this is what I want and and have her say say yep that will work or nope that won't work and here is why...I have gotten to know her, her family and built a relationship. She is talented and invested in her work. For her it's just not making sure your hair looks good but that you as a person feel that at that moment feel good about you..A lot of Salons have begun to feel like the Jiffy Lube of the hair world- in and out, let me sell you some expensive products, and send you on your way.... I have never felt that way with Amy!
Is there anyone out there that can do hair? We are going to the Army Ball next Saturday and I need my hair done. Nothing fancy, my regular hairdresser is going to be...
