It seems that the only LLMD in this area is a pediatrician. Would one see an Infectious Disease MD instead?
Robin M. replied:
http://lymedisease.org/resources/referrals.html can help with referrals to LLMDs. Lymedisease.org is also an excellent site.

Get your own test done too regardless of who you see and what they say. http://www.igenex.com/Website/

I am about to put patchouli oil in capsules. Which doctor will the CDC allow to tell me that kills the parasites under my skin? None. Yet pharmaceutical companies use it, frankincense, myrrh, cinnamon, clove, oregano and many others... they can twist names, call ingredients by their formula, in order to disguise what is in the prescriptions. Trouble is, they remove what *they think* is doing the curing and leave the rest of the plant behind. Plants ar synergistic~ they really do better as a whole, no matter the preparation or ingestion choice of the medicine. The state is going nuts over a mom choosing the proper nourishment for her baby. Same thing only different. http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/state-threatens-to-take-baby-over-homemade-goat-milk-formula/

ILADS.org is a great resource. Most questions can be answered and treatment guidelines can be downloaded.

Also, I notice in your question that you are looking for a means of punishment. That is probably your problem. Humans don't respond positively to punishment. Punishment involves pain, and pain makes humans do a wide variety of things--lash out, disconn ect, get angry, hate themselves, hate others, the list goes on. By searching for punishment you are more than likely creating or encouraging the behavior you are trying to end. Please please please find a gentle parenting group or book (Positive Discipline is a great start) to try to see a different way of working WITH children. You won't find the answers you are looking for using punishment.
I have a patient moving to Walnut Creek. Any suggestions for great pediatricians?
Katrina M. replied:
Charles Hanson in Walnut Creek was my pediatrician growing up! I believe he’s still practicing but he must be retiring soon. East Bay Pediatrics has an Orinda office (not far from Walnut Creek) and there are several good pediatricians in that group—Christina Vo is great. eastbaypediatrics.com

I don't know what i would do without Dr Godfrey at green hills pediatrics off west end. The haul is worth it (we live in the same area you're mentioning) I mean seriously, hands down, the best dr I have ever known... Just another option!
Betsy M. replied:
I second Amie Beauchamp CookeCooke! Dr. Godfrey, really any of the doctors at Green Hills Peds are awesome. We've seen Dr. Barrow too! I personally know at least 10 families who go to GHP!
I have a lovely family moving to Charleston, SC very soon. Just checking to see if anyone knows any general pediatricians there. Thanks!
Scott A. replied:
I got these from Ryan Butts, who was a cardiologist in SC until just recently: "Plantation pediatrics in west Ashley. Zimlich in mount pleasant is good".
Scott A. replied:
Here is another from Carley Scahill (also a cardiologist who was previously in SC): "Yes! I would recommend either Casey King or Molly Slade both at Sweetgrass pediatrics. I trained with both of them, they are excellent and who I would send my own child to...if I had one. "

Lots of good Peds practices in north Seattle: Virginia Mason Peds (in University Village) and Ballard Pediatrics to name two! Also UW Roosevelt clinic.
Lisa M. replied:
Agree with Sahar's recs. North Seattle Pediatrics and NW Pediatrics - Polyclinic also both have some good ones. They are a little further north of Greenlake, close to Northgate area.

Dr. Afra Ali was recommended by one of my friends in BMT down there. Also has friends in downtown Orlando if needed.
