Sequoia Peterson Grove in Sanborn Park in Saratoga. It's under 500 for the rental, comes with picnic tables, but is otherwise DIY. It has a pavilion that can double as a dance floor.

Not south bay but north - Falkirk cultural center? I'm getting a Saturday 12 hours for 3500$ and no vendor restrictions!

A Unitarian Universalist congregation can be an affordable place for both your ceremony and non-dry reception. All couples and beliefs welcome. There are a few Portuguese dance halls in San Jose that are pretty affordable. Also if I recall correctly some community centers in Mountain View and woman’s club San Jose.

My iPhone did an excellent job on our Camino, but if you want something like a point and shoot (anything else would be heavy) Canon makes great, small cameras. Nikon as well. I have a Canon G10 and a G15, one step up from a p & s that aren't very heavy that take amazing quality photos. You can see some of my iPhone 6 s Camino photos at my Blog, www.eleanoremacdonald.wordpress.com
Here are my two pictures taken separately. It is hard not to get a reflection because of the glass. The photographer is Patrick Naughton if the name means anything to...
