I always love this question because almost every vet in Park City gets listed, and none get trashed. Sounds like our town is lucky to have lots of great vets. We've been taking our dog to Powder Paws for years, and 100% recommend them.

Tyler Steins at Silver Creek! The staff is amazing and conducts follow up calls, even on Sundays, to make sure everything is going well post visit. Just my experience, but our visits did not go well at Powder Paws or White Pine. I felt like they were blaming me for my dog's illness and she ended up becoming more sick.

https://www.facebook.com/492406030833855Powder Paws Veterinary Clinic has been great to our three pups. They really take the time to get to know the dogs. We have seen several of the vets and techs there, and they have taken good care of my elderly dog. If you need specialty care, they have an alliance with a surgical vet who comes in once a week. We take the pups in once in a while just to be weighed. The desk staff always take the time to record it into the charts and give each dog a treat. It makes the real vet visit a lot less stressful.

Dr. Artz is incredible. I have gone to Silver Creek for 15 years. I have worked with Dr. Prior of PC Pet Hospital on some advocacy work. He too is great. I don't know Dr. Kate but hear really amazing things about her and Powder Paws. I have a friend who works there and that's a huge endorsement. Truthfully you have some really great options in town. I'll personally go to Artz as long as he's practicing since he is familiar with me and my pack.

Are there any pet groomers in PC that would clip my 20-year-old cat's nails w/o charging for a full visit? Going to the vet is too stressful for my old friend. Thanks...
Can anyone recommend a vet for a second opinion on possible cancer for our dog? We use White Pine and really like them, but would just like another view asap. TIA

Lisa P. replied:
I love Dr. Aarts at Silver Creek but the other ver is awful! I may switch to Powder Paws because of his lack of pet side manner.
Meg P. replied:
I had only one experience with White Pine-our cat was killed in an accident in our house-their bedside manner was terrible. I love Dr. Artz, but luckily have not had this nature of seriousness. I did take my dog in once when she had a bad allergic reaction and Dr. Artz really helped quickly.

Dr Prior or powder paws
Christina M. replied:
I have a 13 year relationship with Silver Creek Animal Clinic. I regret to see some of the negative comments in this thread regarding bedside manner etc. my assumption (hope) based on experience with our 8 pets spanning these years is that these issues were flukes or one off incidents. I see Artz personally, because Rande handed off my very complex cases directly to him when he left. I have had great experiences with the other vets as well. As an example, Tyler came to my aid during a tremendous crisis with one dog and Lisa performed a very complex LP surgery (not the normal LP - extenuating circumstances) on another. SCAC treats animals with dignity and respect. I give them my full (crazy dog lady) endorsement.
Samantha B. replied:
Dr Prior at Park City Animal Clinic has my vote
Mandy D. replied:
We had a cancer misdiagnosis there as well. Please go see Dr Kate at Powder Paws. She is amazing and so much better than White Pine. PM me if you need more info:)
Deb M. replied:
John Artz, smart, kind, best Bet in my 25 yr experience in PC. snow Creek Vet.
Lisa A. replied:
Dr. Prior and the group at PC Animal Clinic are who I see in general, ( and I LOVE them !) but if you had cancer you'd see an oncologist. Specialty medicine requires a specialist.
