Anyone know of any Korean grocery stores? Trying to find a dish called kimshee or gimchee, known to help reduce inflammation. Thanks.

Hi Beverly, you can also find great kimchee at a stand called Hex Ferments in Belvedere square market. I have tried two types of their fermented cabbage, and fermented carrots. It is all very good for you. It is also relatively easy to make with some youtibe videos and experimentation. Tumeric is a root/ spice and is known to reduce inflammation. You can buy it raw (whole foods produce section) and blend it into say smoothies, buy the powder and sprinkle it on just about any food, or you can buy the powder in a capsule form and take it like a vitamin. It works.
Does anyone in here use a grocery service and if so who? I am an amazon prime member if that matters. Is it extra for Amazon Fresh? Thanks, I seriously have to find a...

I believe Giant Pea Pod has the most reliable service at this time. I have not heard any bad reviews about them.

There are 2 new ones I've discovered: Instacart and Brandless (Brandless sells whatever items it stocks for $3 each!) I've not used either and don't know of fees but Brandless is their actual name and have lots of organic items, or so they claim Also your first order is delivered free

BiRite has OUTSTANDING hot food bar. And it's not that far if someone is going for her. My grandmother is 91 and loves their stuff. They will be around for a long time - the owners bought the old Koons lot, and a new strip was built there - PNC, Dollar Tree in there now. Then additional new construction started - I believe a Dunkin Donuts. Here's a link to their ad - and you can see the daily specials on hot food under "foods to go" http://www.biritesupermarket.com/weeklyads.html
Anyone know of a good local produce mart close to Parkville that's open now? I'm about to head out and would like to get some organic produce NOT from the grocery store....
Has anyone used a grocery delivery service? If so, what were your thoughts? Thinking of giving Peapod a try, but not sure if it's worth it. Thanks in advance!

I haven't used it recently, but I've used Peapod before and I loved it. The delivery person will bring the bags right into your kitchen if you let them. I've also done curbside pickup at Harris Teeter and that was also very convenient.
