I have State Farm and they were very helpful when I had to appeal a rate hike for a accident that I was not at fault, won the appeal and got a refund! Once I had the results of the appeal had my refund in less than 2 weeks

I need to shop around also. I've had State Farm since I was 16 and I'm now 41. They keep doing rate increases. Only had 1 claim in that time, only minimal damage to my car and they increased our rates. I have auto, home, umbrella for my business and jewelry policies. My jewelry policy I have been paying on for 12 years $65.00 a year. Just lost diamond in ring. ( not big one, a small one on side). Cost $189.00 for them to repair. Just got letter they are canceling my jewelry policy now. I guess you are suppose to pay and never file a claim. My grandfather use to call the insurance companies the legal mafia. Most of my friends and family have switched. I need to get to it. I would probrably save a fortune.

I have met life for auto and home. Been 10 yrs. they have only spontaneously reduced my rates. State Farm raised my rates after someone ran a light and hit me. Totally not my fault and they didn't pay out a thing. They suck

State Farm raised our rates so high after a fender bender we had to leave. They also said that they had higher rates for Nissan's for some reason. I mean we aren't talking a BMW here or a Porsche.

to Kerri Bailey and Cherlyn Warne, the Maryland Ins. Commission told me they had thousands of angry State Farm clients who have filed appeals for insane rate hikes. And it's all legal. I don't know how State Farm stays in business.
