I have not been able to find a DDS in the area willing to see my son until he turns 3.:x Finally got an appointment with a new practice on Hwy 31 in Pelham next to the school; a place called Shelby Pediatric Dentistry. I know it seems like a long drive but our pediatric dentist is in Homewood and he is awesome! Powell Pediatrics. Dr Austin Powell. His office is so great! They have tvs on the ceilings . They are very patient and kind. My boys think its totally fun to go to the dentist!

Do not go to Dr. Chambliss at medplex. He is the reason I hate dentists now when I'm 18. He tried flilling my cavities with NO novicane or pain stuff what so ever. They had 3 nurses hold me down instead of actually giving me something for the pain after I had started crying.... So yeah. Not a good dentist.

Tracey, I am a dental hygienist and I will tell you that it will be hard to find a doctor that will let her pay her part later. I have worked to several of them. If it is a molar, there are very few that will do the Root Canal at all. Of all the doctors mentioned about My Favorite is Dr. Anderson. He is very friendly and easy going. Not sure if he will do it....
