Vagner's is my favorite gym in florida. I grew up in south Florida and Vagner did too. They train hard as hell but he's always been cool af. https://www.vagnerrochamartialarts.com/ There are a ton of great schools in south florida - Teknica - 10 p miami - Mattix - Renzo fort lauderdale - Certain ATT gyms I've also trained in Tampa, the gracie tampa group is legit.

If you’re in the panhandle, gulf breeze jiu jitsu is the place to be. The instructors there are top notch, solid group of colored belts, lots of competitors that medal in IBJJF tournaments, lots of classes. I left there last year, due to work, but it is hands down the best place I’ve trained.

South Florida is a meca of great bjj... I love our gym, (I'm not the owner, just train there), and we do really well in competition, although I'm not one of the competitors either lol. The one thing is, our gym has kind a vibe total opposite to something like ATT or one of the other big brands such as UFC Gym, Renzo Gracie, etc. Cause the owner of our gym is basically a surfer who constantly plays reggae music.. which is awesome if your personality is a little more laid back and chill. Also the area is really nice: Delray Beach. but check out the website http://rmbjjacademy.com

I’m gonna be honest, you could throw a dart at a board in Florida and within a 5 mile radius find a great school no matter where it lands. There are some exceptions, but as a whole almost everyone here is very solid. Outside of Miami, I would agree with the recommendation of Vagner’s gym and I would implore you to also give the smaller gyms around whatever area you land in a try. I have essentially been able to have free private lessons with a world class black belt for the past 2 years because it is a small school with an even smaller group within that takes competing seriously. Would I have made the same progress these past years if I made the choice of training with the multiple time world champion roughly 15 minutes away from my current school? Personally, I don’t think I would have.

Team Remedy in NW Florida is where I go and they compete all the time. And win a lot. Gym has lineage from Helio Soneca.

If Durinho is actually teaching at Stanford...I would go there. He's an awesome person along with a crazy good fighter. Outside of that, Jacare has a school in Orlando (I think) and he is on the goat tier list for me

Looking for a Cross Fit box (gym) in or near Weston.
The coaches need to be more concerned with form, than motivation.

https://www.facebook.com/164152370301472 Freakin' CrossFit is the best! They are very very strict on form. Amazing coaches. Huge facility. Fun events! It's in pines but doesn't take too long to get there from Weston about 15 minutes :)
