We have just completed (almost) an addition to the "little house." We always try to use local services and trades, and I want to rave about what a great job they all...

Arman Mabry....this I know...this one is 37 yrs old...I was able to remove the packing nut but the main lock nut to remove the valve stem is frozen and the handle also literally crumbled when I pulled it off...I searched several local stores and the replacement handles don't fit the spline pattern/diameter of the old stem...I feel it better to replace with more recent and more easily worked on hose bib than futz around with ancient one and cause more plumbing issues...Normally don't have a problem with doing those things myself but I get a little claustrophobic at that end of the house, the crawlspace gets really tight for my fat butt...So plumber it is....I know my limitations and am willing to pay when I hit them...Not very often but sometimes...
