Hello there, we rent a beautiful house in sixt sur aff (near La Gacilly). We moved in here in september 2013 and eveything was wonderful until it started to get cold at the end of october and we started to close windows and doors. That's when the nasty , horrible, disgusting smells started...It took the owner a while to get moving but we had a new septic tank fitted 6 weeks ago - it took them 1 1/2 weeks to do it...digging, fitting and landscaping etc. The result is amazing honestly !!! It's called an "EPARCO" system, it's the green one on their web site. The bloke that did it is MAHE TP in Guipry. I just called him and he can work in St Meen, it's not too far for him. This Eparco system is better than a micro station because it doesn't need to be emptied for up to 17 years(depending on the size of the family), doesn't need much maintenance and does not use electricty 24/24. Nigel Quinn, he did ours, great bloke, always turns up when you need him. Does a professional job and he knows other trades people, electricians etc as ours needed to be connected to a power supply. He has always helped us out, and he is an ex pat livi ng in the area 56. If you are interested I shall dig out his number? You have to watch with some as they don't like travelling. We've had loads of people telling us to try so & so only to find that its too far for them to travel or the job isn't big enough. Still looking for a decent double glazing company to do our windows & door!

Denise H The only window maker I can recommend is here in Cornwall! He has copied our windows for us from battered originals. They look fabulous in the house and so in keeping with a building that is 400 years old. Any phone numbers that anyone has would be great, so that we can make arrangements to meet before we come over in March. The six weeks that we intend to be in Breizh is to get quotes and know what the maximum budget will be.
