I recommend the $15/lb wool roving from dharmatrading.com. It's consistent and it's cheap. They have other rovings for more than that, though, and it's a company with fast shipping and great customer service.

Paradise Fibers sells quality fiber. You can usually buy a pound for around $18. They also have $5 shipping

I bought one of these batches a couple months ago, they don't list what kind of wool it is, but it has so far drafted not badly, and handled nicely. Nothing fancy, but nice. Having said that, the comment that "white can be boring" is the truth. I have a couple braids of colored stuff that I'm working on when I get tired of staring at monochrome. https://www.etsy.com/listing/230204384/wool-roving-1-pound-sale-while-supplies?ref=shop_home_feat_1

Versatex screen printing ink works quite well - there's a mix-in pigment setter which means not having to try to heat set it with an ironing board. You can get it through www.dharmatrading.com
