I wouldn't use DJ Chimney sweeps, we had our stove installed 3 years ago and used him for the first 2 years, last year we found out we needed a chimney sweep that could give us a certificate for house insurance purposes, DJ Chimney sweep is not registe red with any chimney sweep association so couldn't give us the correct documents, we used Meadow Chimney sweep from Colsterworth, when he did our chimney he was shocked to find that our chimney had not been swept properly, the clinker that came down was at least a few years old due to how it had moulded itself to our liner, I did some more checking and he was correct, he had also been to 2 other properties that week which DJ Chimney sweeps had been to and found serious problems that he had missed, one was it hadn't been swept at all, the owner of the property was out and just left him to do it, or not as the case was and charged him as if he had done it. Hope that helps, you just need to check with your house insurance to see if they require a certificate to say it has been cleaned, its just in case you have a chimney fire and then you can prove when you had it swept.
