For multi-country, you need to use an experienced travel agency. I would suggest Tramex Travel in Austin. I've used them a couple of times. They foresee worst-case scenarios and cover every minute detail.

We are leaving soon on a Trafalgar tour called European Splendor 2017. We booked through Vacations To Go, by phone. They are in Houston. Tour starts in London--Paris--Geneva--Nice--Florence--Venice--Rome. Also looked into Globus multicountry tour. Private message me if you want more info. I'm not an agent. Just willing to share what I have learned. The search can be exhausting.

Go online and get some literature. They will mail it to you, but you can see a lot on their sights. Grand European Travel, Globus, Trafalgar, Rick Steves, Monograms (if you don't want to be tied to a tour group).
