Dog daycare in NoVa? Can anyone recommend (or warn) a doggie daycare in the Fairfax County or north Prince William County area?

Only place I know of is Dogtopia. No idea on how good or bad it is. They have a couple of places around NoVa.

We've been using [Club Pet](http://clubpet.com/) in Chantilly for 12+ years. The staff there is really friendly and our dogs always come home happy and tired from visits.

Thank you everyone! I will definitely check these out.

It depends on what side of the county you're on, but if you're northwest (which I'm guessing you're not, since you're requesting Prince William County) [The Animals' House in Sterling](http://theanimalshouse.com/) is awesome.
I would personally avoid PetSmart- mostly because they do discriminate against so called bully breeds. I have a couple of friends who used to bring their pup to PetSmart for doggy daycare- their dog looks like a Pit mix (official paperwork is that she's a Boxer mix) so she wasn't allowed to play with the other dogs there. Her play time was by herself, separated from the rest of the dogs- despite the fact that she's around other dogs all the time (including mine) and gets along with them very well. She's just a big lovable goof.

How old is your child? I highly recommend Charlestown Playschool, but they are a preschool serving children over 2 years.
Melissa L. replied:
If you're looking for preschool age I've heard great things about the Charlestown Playhouse. You would need to coordinate for before, after and summer care though. Some of the moms there operate home daycares. Something to considering if that's the age you're looking for. When we looked at Kindercare it was considerably more expensive than other four star daycares. We were not impressed with Magic Memories. If you're willing to travel a bit the Margaret George School is great in KOP....also a four star daycare.
