Hey guys!! What is the best most affordable day camp in Phoenixville ?
Kelly C. replied:
Camp Memories is through Magic Memories day care. It is somewhere around $220 per week and I think the pick up/drop off would probably work for you. I hear the Borough day camp is great but the hours probably wouldn't work for you. I know they don't work for me but my child is younger.
Gina D. replied:
The Phoenixville YMCA is $225/week if you're not a member and $200 if you are. No extra charge for early drop off or late pickup, which is rare. Hours are 7-6:30.

Rec Dept. Camps! Check them out at phoenixville.org!

Adventure Day Camp in Upper Merion Township is affordable. Miss Betty's Camp in the phoenixville area is the best around, but not sure the price.
Hi Everyone,

Sadly it can be a little late for camps as they start enrolling in February (drove me crazy to have to think of summer then). My daughter will be helping with Music Man with Firebird, your daughter will have a great time there:)
Does anyone know of any good private camp grounds within an hour or so away?
Michele R. replied:
If you are looking for a place to have a few cold ones while camping, that pretty much leaves out the county, state and federal parks. They don't like people to drink on their grounds, though many people do. They are just discreet about it. So, tent camping (primitive). KOA's are expensive. A quick Web search will show quite a few around. Blue Rocks is nice and does have a stream running through it. Did that when the kids were little. Sill's Family Campground is nice, but the only water is a pool. There is one near the Smorgasbord in Lancaster, can't remember the name. Don't know about Warwick Woods or Lazy K. Maps ought to show the layout up to within the last few years. Hope you find a nice place. -Charlie

Ricketts Glenn is a wonderful choice. I'll also throw out the Peaceful Woods campground in Blakeslee. Right near the Pocono Racetrack so it's not too far. Nice campgroup, clean, pool, cabin rentals, awesome owners.
