We always stay in Corolla, and love it there. Beautiful beaches, great area. I've rented with a group a number of times, and have always used Twiddy for our realtor. Excellent (and accurate) descriptions of properties, great to deal with. And the one time we had an issue at arental property (alarm would not stop going off) they had someone out there right away to fix it. https://www.twiddy.com/#/n_mHThaURny_QziGhFcFEwL/

Not the Outer Banks, but in the Villas, Cape May, NJ. Our house is across the street from the Bay Beach and a short drive to the Cape May Beach http://www.capemayrentals.com/properties/2700-shore-drive/

https://www.outerbanksblue.com/vacation-rentals/toes-in-the-water/SNH038 . We stayed here 3 years ago when Nate was 10 months. Beautiful house, with baby gates, very close to the beach, and Nags Head is one of the more populated areas so there were plenty of restaurants and other things to do close by!!
Rebecca P. replied:
We go through Twiddy.com. Stayed in Duck, and Corolla so far! It’s becoming the place to go in the summer so book as soon as you can!

I have a friend who rents a beautiful house in Duck.... Greg Tigan

You really have two fairly different choices. If you want less crowded beaches go south to Rodanthe, Avon, Buxton, Frisco or Hatteras. Midgett Realty, Hatteras Realty, Surf or Sound Realty are three of the larger companies that handle rentals in this area. If you want more of a Jersey experience without the boardwalks but plenty of traffic stay in Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Southern Shores, or Duck. Sun Realty, Joe Lamb Realty, Twiddy, Southern Shores Realty, are several companies that hire rentals in this area. You can also go North to Corolla, but I've never stayed there, so I can't speak for that area. There are several guides you can find on line. Just type in "OBX".

We love Duck. Check out sunrealtync.com Bonus: the town and beach is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on the beach 24/7

Hatteras Realty is also really good. We stay in the Buxton/Frisco area by Hatteras and it's beautiful. Not as much to do as places more up north like Kitty Hawk but that's why we like it. The beaches are also not built up like some of the other towns.
