String rays dont bite they strike you with barb, normally 400 mg Ibuprofen is sufficient to deal with the strong pain which goes all the way to groin (had it happen to me) some ppl insist on taking small dose of valium or another muscle relaxer. A few very small percentage are allergic in which case antihistamines also are needed.
