Hello! I'm looking for a restaurant to dinner with my hubby. Nice but not expensive and in Maple Ridge. We don't go out often because of the kids but we'll have finally...

I've a few places I like. Frogstone Grill over by Thomas Haney Secondary/Telosky Stadium area is good, but it leans towards the family atmosphere. I really love, love, love Lava Lounge, but it is fine dining and falls towards expensive. Going toward s the pub angle of things, the Billy Miner (by the Haney WCE) is still my favourite. For Italian, I do enjoy La Trattoria, but if my taste-buds could choose their nationality, they would be Greek, so I've been meaning to try Markos Kouzina (though we usually drive to PoCo for San Remo).

Big Feast is always good. I think Il Corsaro is our best Italian restaurant, everything there is super fresh and all the pasta is handmade. Chameleon Cafe is good and the ambiance is nice for an adult-only dinner. As mentioned, Lava is also great or if you want to pop just across the Golden Ears Bridge you could go to The Fat Cow & Oyster Bar (opened by the chef from Lava I think) and it is excellent!

Here's something for consideration: Feb14, you get romantic dinner, entertainment, and free baby sitting. all in one. https://www.facebook.com/events/1401948856724102/

Lava Room. Firehall Bistro in Pitt Meadows is great. Concerto was a very nice meal. Paliotti's for Italian. Can never go wrong with the Keg. Good luck with deciding.

I've not heard of Chameleon, but since hubby and I so rarely get out without kidlet, I too like to hear of great places to go. It looks good, I'll have to add that to the must-try list: http://chameleoncafe.ca/index.html

Il Calsoro on Dewdney trunk road is also great for Italian and not too expensive. U should make a reservation as it's very small but very nice.
