Best B&Bs in/around Pittsburgh? My girlfriend and I would like to treat ourselves to a night in a nice B&B/Inn, preferably one with a spa and restaurant where we could...

My girlfriend and I spent a few nights in the Mansions on Fifth. Beautiful building, nice rooms. It has a restaurant, but we didn't partake as it's within walking distance of restaurants, nor does it have a spa. However, I would highly recommend.

I think you will find that most B&Bs offer breakfast but not dinner; and you will probably not find full spa services either. The [Mansion at Maple Heights](https://shadysidemansion.com) in Shadyside has massages, as well as the [Inn on Negley](http://innonnegley.com/spa/). [The Fairmont](http://www.fairmont.com/pittsburgh/) and [The Monaco](http://www.monaco-pittsburgh.com) hotels downtown both have restaurants and spa services.

There's a great B&B in Slippery Rock where, if you're lucky, you can get lectured by the guestbook for premarital sex. I realize it's outside of where you're looking but it's a fun anecdote.

Spa West in Westlake, or Solia downtown in the Arcade by the Hyatt Hotel. I like them both:)

Walden in Aurora is incredible for massages - they give you 30 min pre and post-massage to relax in your own private suite. Also had a really good massage at Solaire in Hudson recently. Had a great pedi at John Roberts in Solon also - very nice staff.

I have and while pregnant. I didn't go to a salon or spa. I used the Alternative Medicine clinic through the hospital and had therapeutic massages done. I started doing it because I have a neck and back injury from an accident and the weight of my pr egnancy caused terrible pain and I had limited pain management options because I was pregnant. Because I saw a specialist through the hospital who specialized in pregnant massages for injured people, I paid a bit more but I wasn't expected to tip. So I believe each session was $75. They were at least an hour long and sometimes longer if an area was especially tight. I was going to try massage envy for my pregnancy massages because they cost a lot less. I think they were $40 an hour BUT after I went the first time I found that I didn't have the same relief and benefits that I had when using the hospital affiliated masseuse.
