I'm not very familiar with Squirrel Hill, but if you can't find anything there, try South Side Nail Candy on East Carson Street between the 20 and 21 blocks. You'll definitely need to call ahead but I'm pretty sure they frequently have large groups come in. It's really cute inside and I've been very happy every time I've gone there. Here's their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/South-Side-Nail-Candy/164587440558

I went with all 6 of my bridesmaids for a mani/pedi to the Venetian nail salon at the Waterfront 2 days before my wedding. They did a great job! I did call 2-3 days ahead just to let them know what time we were coming. The place is pretty big (I think they have 8 pedi chairs) and they had 2-3 people working on us at once. Hope that helps!

Good place for a mani-pedi I need to find a place for a mani-pedi before my wedding. Usually I just go to Shadyside nails, but I would like a better place for my mom,...

I don't have any recommendations, however I can tell you to stay away from Nail Candy in South Side if you have acrylics. I got a decent enough pedicure there, but the girl filling my acrylics did such an awful, bumpy, hideous job that one of the managers had to come over, remove the polish that the first girl tried to use to cover her mistakes, and do an additional 30 minutes of work just to correct the original mistake. They also cut my fingertip and I started to bleed. It was a bad experience. It's a little bit of a hike from Shadyside, but I've been going to Bella Nails on Noblestown Road in Greentree. They have a big space, offer acrylics, solars, gels, shellacs, and one of the best pedis I've ever gotten! Also, they're super reasonable. I got an acrylic fill and a pedicure two weeks ago for $40. They're quick, talented, and friendly. Best of luck finding a place and congrats on your upcoming wedding! Mine is in October! Ahhh! Yay!

I was really happy with the manicure/shellac nails at Venetian at The Waterfront. Trick is to get a girl whose name is Holly. Holly gave me the best manicure I've had, and the shellac polish stayed on ~3 weeks. I've never had a pedi there and i wasn't impressed when i got pink/whites done here by a different girl. But for a basic mani i'll go to Holly every time. This was written on my phone, sorry for the crappy format.

I usually go to Nail Club on Forbes Ave. in Squirrel Hill. It's nothing fancy, but they always seem to do a decent job there. Manicures are 10, pedicures are 20.
Recommendations for an in-home manicure service? Actually, if we're being specific, in hospital. My wife is stuck as an inpatient at magee due to pregnancy...

Actually, it might be worthwhile to just ask a nurse if they know any volunteers or services that do mani/pedis for patients. I would not be surprised if there is one, particularly for women stuck on bed rest.

This is not a recommendation but a Google search sent me to http://www.spoiledgirlzspa.com/SpoiledGirlz/Welcome.html the website is a little amateurish but they do offer mobile services. There are actually a few more but the one above has top results and positive Facebook reviews.
Hmgeisler replied:
Not really helpful, but I know there is a massage place that comes in to give massages to patients, maybe they know someone that does nails or maybe they do them? The nurses might know who the massage people are.

Any salon but [Dallas Beauty Lounge](https://twitter.com/MaxxyRainbow/status/1270916756861788165). At this point, would not be surprised if the owner and her family flee Pittsburgh and change their names. No one wants to do business with those clowns except maybe fellow racists.

Poised in Dormont. Marisa is the best. I’ve been going to her religiously for over 2 years. She is extremely talented and creative. I also had short, mangled nails when I first started going there and she never made me feel bad.

Blue Sky Nails in Caste Village. They are appointment only now but very clean and nice quiet relaxing place. The owner is Cam. They do a great job for a fair price and they take venmo for the tip so you don't need to bring cash.
