Yes, that was one of the first things I did.:-( Was hoping it would be that easy, but unfortunately looks like it is just time to replace the old thing. I've been working with appliances for 17 years. Jess Vega give me a call Monday at work. I can tell you how to take the machine apart with a model number. And we can also test the lid switch at the counter. That way you'll only buy parts you need. Edwards a-1, 530-622-4273. Ask for Katie.

It is the electric pump that stopped working. There about 35 bucks and very simple to change. First get as much water out as you can with a hose or scoop. The pump removal and replace is easy. Two hose clamps, two mounting screws and a electrical clip type harness ... partsselect.com . I've done it to several washers
