Daycare recommendations? Looking for part-time daycare recommendations for 2 year old and infant. My husband, daughter, and I are moving to Bloomington this May so...

Do you have any mom friends in the area? There is a private Bloomington Moms facebook group but you have to be invited by a member.

Whoever you chose, I recommend going on the Indiana.gov websites to check out the licensing reviews. That is the only way to truly tell how a place is actually ran.

Feel free to join Mom2Mom Bloomington, IN on facebook and use the search there. You will find lots of helpful information. Also, how part-time? Sherwood Oaks Christian Church has daycare/preschool on weekday mornings that follow the local school schedule. My kiddos have attended for years and we love it. They have learned so much. St. Marks is another good program as well. Fatih Lutheran is great too. Prep School is good if you need more hours. There are some mom's in the group that have in-home daycares as well that are highly recommended.

Bloomington Center for Global Children was great (but pricey) for our two. I’ve always heard really good things about St Marks, they are NAEYC accredited and I don’t believe have any sort of religious slant (other than being housed in a church). I know several of the teachers there and they are phenomenal. Also, there’s been a push locally for daycares to be of higher quality (through a local nonprofit program, Monroe Smart Start). You can check out where various daycares are on the Paths to Quality scale at https://www.in.gov/fssa/pathstoquality/3731.htm.

Also, check out Monroe County United Ministries Compass childcare. Again, they have no religious slant (but they’re name is a holdover from when they were formed a long, long time ago by a group of churches). I think they are also NAEYC accredited.
Looking for a job that isn't retail and doesn't require me to work Sunday's. I'm thinking a bank or a daycare would be best. I love kiddos so much and want to love them...

Patti Hardwick is the owner. There are 2 if them just about a mile apart. One is just off 267 and 36, back by NAPA. The other at next light past 267, bob Evans on the right. I think it's called production drive. You go left, north, go to the right at stop sign and is at end of road

Leaps and Bounds is the one I was telling you about. Lisa Daugherty is the owner. She is a great woman to work for and the kiddos at the daycare are great as well.

Buttons And Bows Day Care in Avon is a Christian Day Care. My daughter has been there for over 20 yrs

Laura Hatfield, the owners at leaps and bounds are great people. I'm sure you could work out something with them for Emory.
