In terms of things to do; we are fortunate to have many acres of protected conservation land and open space with trail systems. In terms of favorite restaur https://www.facebook.com/181624891985 ants, The Chieftain Pub is https://www.facebook.com/267457https://www.facebook.com/284196631697514 634654 great for Irish pub food and a perfect pint. Fitzy's Pub has great food and Game 7 Sports Bar & Grill is a nice alternative as well.

Welcome to Plainville, I am also a recent-ish transplant to the town. I was a bit nosy and clicked on your profile to see where you were before. I grew up in Framingham, too!:) Unlikely Story is definitely a fun spot, make sure to follow them on FB and keep an eye on their events calendar; they have great events for people of all ages including yoga, crafts, writing groups, music groups etc. Townies will probably tar & feather me for this, but I am a bit underwhelmed with Plainville’s cuisine options. Things that I’ve found edible/enjoyable: Sandwiches from ‘Ricos Subs & Pizza’ – technically North Attleboro, but still very close. ‘The Chieftain’ has good steaks & seafood. ‘North End Deli’ makes good everything. 'Rancho Chico' quality has gone a little downhill in the last year but still good Mexican and drinks! ‘House of Fortune’ has decent sushi but if you want good Chinese sure to cure any hangover, go to hole-in-the-wall ‘Imperial Dragon’ – OMG THEIR CRAB RANGOON. Kind of random, but I’ll add it to any area list as it’s THAT good – take the 20 minute drive to Easton for the brunch at ‘The Farmer’s Daughter,’ prepare to wait but grab yourself a to-go coffee and sit in your car with good music or a podcast and they’ll text you when your table is ready. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Welcome to Plainville! It is such a great place to live! For the gamer in your life, kid or adult, One Up Games. That place is so fun for my husband and children and their friends, they have a fb page. The Unlikely Story as others have mentioned, have a nice glass of wine while browsing the books. They also have great events. They have a Facebook page as well. The Plainville Library has a "Pinterest can't fail club" which looks like a lot of fun - I haven't done that yet. The Tavern on Rt 1 has a great Sun Brunch from 10-2, summers excluding There are also some nice festivals in the town park. The winter festival has a huge bonfire which is pretty cool. Lots of fun things and nice people!

Some of the girls and I love going to The Tavern next door on Wednesday evenings for their blues jam night. The food is delicious and the pizza oven is the best around! Quans Kitchen is just over the line in North Attleboro. AMAZING quality Chinese food and fresh sushi! Next door is the Cinema Pub. A great place to see a movie and have a beer and snack! I also own a horse he’s at a farm in North Attleboro that gives lessons if you’re ever interested. WELCOME!

We raised our family in Plainville and loved every minute. The World War I Memorial Park has animals and some kid activities and is a great place for walking, hiking, and picnics. The North End Deli has yummy cold cuts and pastries and Jen and Tony always greet you with a big smile. Shopping at the Wrentham Outlets are a big savings. The PAL (Plainville Athletic League) has many sport opportunities and a beautiful field. The schools rock and are very family focused. In the summer there are concerts on the common. Also there is a two day fall festival at the park. There is a pool AND a wonderful day camp for kids. At halloween the fire department does a nice parade and party for the kids. Around the 4th of July, the next town over, North Attleboro, has a big three day carnival with the best fireworks you will see anywhere... Jeff Kenny, a Plainville resident and author, has a Bookstore downtown that is wonderful called Unlikely Story.

Does anyone know who maintains the Gerould Cemetery on High st. in Wrentham? It's the one behind Agelina's restaurant. I drove by there this morning and it just covered...

Cindy, that is such a great question and I'd love to know the answer! In terms of the cleanup, that might be a great Scout service project. George Kleczka, do you know anything about that cemetery? Thanks.
