Legal Aid. My daughter went through it for over 2 years with a private attorney and thousands of dollars which she did not have by the way . It is a nightmare and you better pray you dont get the Collin County Judge she did - Judge Tucker. She is a nightmare and does not care about hearing what you have to say. I would try legal aid first if you are low income - they turned her away and she was low income but I know another girl who got legal aid and they did her well in Dallas. Get ready for a rough road ahead. If there is any domestic violence involved, always make sure you file a police report or if neglect or abuse is involved, call CPS. But they are pretty worthless too. Get on the Texas Attorney General Facebook page for people experiencing similar issues. Document EVERYTHING on a daily basis and get a tape recorder - it is legal in Texas. I wish you the best of luck for the sake of your children.

You already tried? Sound about right. They are about worthless too in Collin County. Most lawyers are scum bags but if I find out something I will let you know, I feel for you sweetheart - it is a nightmare dealing with ANY attorneys - they are the scummiest bunch there is out there unless you find a good one. Dont know any especially in greedy Collin County.
