Please check their insurance coverage. We used AB Moving about 10 times between us and family and had some damage on our last move. At 50 cents a pound it was very upsetting. Just think about the value of a lightweight TV or special piece of art which weighs little. Ask ask ask.

Hmmmm. Hot Shot Moving offered a flat rate of $400 but has only been with the BBB for like 45 days, even though they have an A+ rating. However, First Choice movers has been with the BBB since December 1995 and has an A+ rating with only two complaints in almost 20 years. They do charge by the hour, normally $135, then a trip fee of $135. They offered a small discount, but they want to charge a trip fee of 1 hours work, and I'm moving 1 mile away. I'm wondering if it's worth it. He even told me that since I'm on the third floor it will take longer for the move, approximately 3 to 4 hours. I see this is turning into seven or eight hours. I don't know, when they charge hourly, there is no incentive to move quickly. I'll call a few more.

Well, AB MOVING has had 41 complaints with the BBB. The old saying is true, you get what you pay for. After prayer and a few phone calls, going with First Choice. With only 2 complaints in 20 years with the BBB and the owner speaking with me for over an hour yesterday, I have peace about hiring these movers. I just want to thank all of you for your suggestions and I hope you know how much I appreciate it. It's awesome to have such a talented and kind group of classmates to reach out to. You guys/gals are THE best. Have a great weekend everyone!
