My tattoo was also done at INK tattoo in Dubuque. I visited a lot of artists around the area and could not find anyone to top Marc. I fully recommend him.

I have always gone to Smooth in Sauk City. Check his website, Smoothfx.com.
Does anyone know of any place in Madison or Dane County that would help cover racial/gang tattoos for free or low-cost?
SurvivingInsomniac replied:
Great whale, Tim the owner said he offers covers for low or free iirc.

Seems like you have plenty of informative answers, I just gotta say GOOD ON YOU! I absolutely love all the UNlearning and RElearning going on in the world right now, and you're amazing for being part of that

I feel like any tattoo shop would help you out with that.

I don't know any places personally, it seems like folks have a good handle on places to start as is. I just want to chime in and personally say I am very proud of you. That's a hard thing to want to do, especially in the current pandemic. Please be safe and a stranger is very proud of your choices.

I would just call and ask the shops to see if they would give a discount. It would be worth checking Milwaukee and Chicago too.

Check out Instagram profiles for Madison tattooers. Jack Ozimek is an artist that could be open to helping out.

There is this one as well, very talented lady whose name escapes me (can probably be found on google/facebook) - she had an article in the isthmus where she is praised for covering medical scars with tattoos - I would think that goes along the lines of what your looking for (I know it’s not exactly the same - but the notion seems similar)
