Our family really likes Dr. G. Trevor Smith as our dentist. He is right next to the Subway on State St. (Abt 2 mins. Away) I am a dental hygienist (but don't work in an office-I work for an elementary school dental program) and am a little picky in dentists, but we have really liked him and his staff.
I need a chiropractor who does xrays. Anyone have a good one that doesn't take weeks to get into?
Nicole B. replied:
I know Dr Gunn did X-rays yrs ago, but not sure if he still does. I just came back from Dr Miller in EM & he was great! I got in same day as a new patient & walked out of his office with less pain. I know Dr Miller can order X-rays & scans bc I was worried I needed an MRI & asked him before scheduling.

I recommend Aspen Chiropractic with dr Paul Gurney in Orem by Hood Earth. I did rehab/therapy/treatment with him after 2 car accidents and he is AMAZING!!
Rachael F. replied:
Dr Chris Moore at Chiropractic USA in PG is amazing and so are his massage therapists! Their number is 801-785-7874. If I understood correctly that this is from a car accident then anywhere should be completely covered for you because UT auto insurance requires you to have a PIP which makes it so even if the person's insurance who caused the accident want to fight it, which they usually do, your insurance will and they can't up your rates for using it. If you were the at fault if they up rates it is from your accident not using your benefit. The required minimum is $3000 in care but a lot of it gets used if you go to the hospital with the accident. Your auto insurance deductible won't have to be met to use the benefit.

Does anyone have any good tips for helping lower back pain? I've been to the chiropractor and regret it... I guess my L4 and L5 are pinching my nerves. I really don't...
Nick H. replied:
I was in a car accident and herniated 2 discs in my lower back. I've tried everything from massage, physical therapy and injections finally ending in back surgery. Over a year of trying different methods I've learned a ton. Massage is great, but temporary. Physical therapy can work in some cases, but didn't change anything for me. Injections help, however, the more you do them the less they help. You are only supposed to have 4 injections a year. I've heard that if you continue on that path that it deteriorates things over time and makes it worse. The chiropractor I went to was amazing and helped a ton! He did decompression and a lot of other things that most don't do. I would highly recommend him! His name is Dr Makin and he is in pleasant grove on state street. Its by Betos across from the purple turtle. It's called Ut spine and sport. I think he would do wonders for you. In my case I had to get surgery because after an MRI we found out a third disc was torn in half, but I know he could help you....give him a call! (801)709-9797. The address is 238 e state PG. Good luck!
