I am looking for recommendations for a home birth midwife in Utah County. I live in Salt Lake and so I'm not familiar with Utah Co midwives. I have a friend who is 35...

Hi Katrina, Good luck to your friend! I had my second at home and loved it! I live in Provo, but the midwife I used is in West Jordan and mostly serves clients in the SLC area. However, I have heard lots of names for Utah County midwives. Cathy O'Bryant is an experienced midwife here. Here's her website: http://www.enlightenedbirth.com/ Better Birth is a good practice here, as well. They attend births at home or their Birthing Center, BellaNatal. There are a number of midwives within the practice. http://www.betterbirth.com/ I've also heard the name Richelle Jolley a lot. I think she might be in South Utah County. Here's a website for a Heather Shelley. http://birthingyourway.com/ This is a link to a Hypnobirthing page that has a long list of midwife providers who serve Utah County. Some of the ones I listed above are also found here. I hope this helps! When I was choosing a homebirth midwife, I just called a lot and interviewed a few until I decided on the one I liked (and now I LOVE her) the most. Good luck! Autumn

Anybody have recommendations for a good gynecologist/midwife in the Orem area? Mine moved.

I used Heather Shelley. She's in Pleasant Grove, but it's still quite close. Just behind the Purple Turtle on State. She's with Birthing Your Way. A friend in the condos used Dianne Bjarnson at (801) 367-1981. She loved her.

We had our last baby with Heather Shelly at Birthing Your Way Birthing Centers. It was such a better experience than we had had with our three previous babies (at hospitals), that we're going back for current baby too. They have an office in Provo and one in Pleasant Grove. birthingyourway.com

Heather Harrison at central utah clinic! She is amazing! I actually drive from Cedar to her and her NP. The best part is that she does family medicine as well! Cameron and I love her!

(midwife) Melissa Mayo- she's in Sandy, but might know someone in Orem. Let me know if you want her number. She is absolutely amazing!
Could anybody in north Utah County recommend an OB or midwife that works in the American Fork Hospital complex? My daughter-in-law needs prenatal care (Yeah!) and we are...
Courtney P. replied:
I go to Bryan Watabe at Legacy OB. (the building just to the north of AF hospital with the green windows.) He is fantastic! And I have heard good things about the other OB's there.
Tina O. replied:
I went to Lind, Lamoreaux, and Melendez. They have a practice right across from AF Hospital. Now I am dying to know which Daughter in law?!
Heidi D. replied:
Dr. Sondrup is very good. Dr. E William Parker is also very good.
Heidi D. replied:
Both of them work at Timpanogos Women's Health Center. I wouldn't go with a midwife. I know you'll hear a lot of rebuttle to that, but some of us would be missing a child if we had done that.
Annie B. replied:
Dr. Parker is retiring next month. He delivered both my girls. I've gone to Central Utah Clinic (formerly Timpanogos Women's Health Care) for 14 years and they have been wonderful. I've just started seeing a new doctor there, Dr. Wall, and he and his nurses are fabulous. He is so thorough and kind. I saw the midwives years ago when I was pregnant with the girls and they are all great too. You really can't go wrong with any of them there. The number is 801-756-5288. Congrats on becoming a grandma again!

We have them in lehi at our center or in Provo as well. The provo location accepts almost all insurances. You just need an order from your midwife is all and then call 801-615-1733 to book the appt.
