Looking for pediatrician recommendations....Currently go to iha Plymouth but not a fan of their sleep training advice. Thanks!
Michelle T. replied:
We really like Dr. Judy Tosto out of Canton IHA (Cherry Hill Village).
Erin C. replied:
Oh I love IHA Plymouth but I do tend to smile and nod about certain things. I totally lied about when my lo started sleeping thru the night.
Beth T. replied:
Judy Tosto
Andrea S. replied:
Iha Plymouth is nice otherwise.
Erica B. replied:
Canton Health Center, Dr. Beth Tarini. She is very respectful of the fact that we're the parents and have our own opinions.
Joana S. replied:
I hated IHA Plymouth, besides 1 doctor and 1 assistant.
Joana S. replied:
I hate the office, I hate their systems, and I hate their ethics. My daughter went there from birth to 15 months, and my son birth to 4 months. I wish I could switch Dr. Vanderoest to another office because she was incredible, but we rarely got to actu ally be seen by her. Holly, the nurse practitioner, was hit or miss, but she rarely supported my decisions as a mother. My son had some issues when he was first born, due to St Joe letting me stay in active labor for 7 days, and he had a nurses assistant that I was in love with. She held me when I cried, and spent a significant amount of time with my son. She truly cared. However, we very rarely got to see the two, and everyone else was crap. They wouldn't see my daughter, 15 months old at the time, when she had a temp of 104.7 for 3 days, they claimed it was vital, but she ended up in the ER with pneumonia and a double ear infection, that was caused by the measles (the bumps developed a few days later). They then argued with me on rather she had the measles because "they don't see them often, and she was vaccinated", but it was confirmed by our new pediatrician.

Does anyone know anything about this dr? I heard of her in a parenting group, but can't remember why she sounded good. Dr. Suzan M. Syed, MD Family Medicine, Integrated Healthcare Associates Novi
Katie F. replied:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a pediatrician in the Dearborn area? New mommies need to have this stuff nailed down, apparently.
Laura K. replied:
Erin - my friend recommends Dr. Robert Levy. She says he is down to earth and good with kids
Brenda P. replied:
Laura Mittlestat King. Too funny. The nurse at the NICU likes every doc there BUT him! Who knows!?
Jessica P. replied:
Both my kids see Dr. Kathleen Blumer at Henry Ford Medical Center in Dearborn on Ford and Southfield. She is down to earth, friendly, and really inspires confidence. Nice staff too!
In need of a new pediatrician, I would like an office in Plymouth, any recommendations?
Beth L. replied:
Cooper was three weeks old with a cold, that overnight turned into rsv, double lung pneumonia, bronchialitus... Dr. Howard came to us in the lobby, called for an ambulance, and made a make-shift oxygen mask small enough for his face out of a styrofoam ...See More
Julie S. replied:
We also go to the Plymouth IHA and see Dr. Meisenhelder. Believe it or not, she was MY pediatrician! She is truly fantastic, and so are all the doctors and nurse practitioners there.
OK FB friends, now to find a good doc for a young man who is too old to visit a pediatrician. A primary care physician who is in network with Huron Valley (St. Joe's)...
