I've been thinking about this post all day. James, I agree that tradesmen exist for a reason but the rates they charge ..... I just can't afford it. Personally, I use a handi man (Chris Fraser is my guy atm) for my odds n' ends that a "husband" would do, if I had one. lol. I don't begrudge what trades people get paid. I just think there is a place for everyone, handi men included.:)
