Cortney* I'm not arguing. But there is no need for others to take your bad experience of a furminator. They are the proper tool for shedding. Maybe not your way but that dont make it worng. I did look it up and I also got SEVERAL vet reference about using it. It is a comb and definitely not a sheering blade. It being only the undercoat if it cut and breaks I would get the top coat.

THANK YOU! Dawn Henson Farley you can look on furminator facebook there are German Shepherds on there. It's a wonderful tool. And had definitely saved our lives. And I get numerous compliments on our lab. He still has his shiny beautiful coat after I BRUSH him.

Please NEVER ENCOURAGE ANYONE WITH OUT EXPERIENCE TO SHAVE A MATTED PET AT HOME! ALWAYS BEST TO TAKE TO A GROOMER WITH EXPERIENCE. ..been grooming 18 years...trust me it's best!
