Does anyone know of a dental surgeon for wisdom teeth extraction that accepts Medicaid for adults
Kelly L. replied:
I went through this a few years ago. The only place is in Detroit. It's the Detroit Dental School and it takes months for an appointment.
Christina C. replied:
I had this problem, I had to be sedated for it and so the closest place that accepted Medicaid for adults for wisdom tooth extraction under sedation was Detroit. I believe if you can be numbed locally, Community Dental Clinic on Electric can do it.
Hollenbeck J. replied:
didn't you get to go on McLaren or Meridian program as your choice under Medicaid? that uts you with Delta Dental, which is accepted locally
Christina C. replied:
I was having extreme pain so I went to Community Dental Clinic. They did x-rays and exam and I had an impacted wisdom tooth, infection, and sitting on my nerve. I called every single dentist in Port Huron and CDC referred me to Detroit. They made me do an exam and x-rays all over again months later. They canceled my surgery less than a day before and had to reschedule a month later. I wasn't able to get it taken care of until almost a year later.
Amber L. replied:
Lakeview on Lyon has a dental credit plan they work with - its called Care Credit, you can apply online and find out you qualify and the credit limit. I had two wisdom teeth extracted, total cost was around $600 (I was sedated). Dr Beck is really good! http://www.carecredit.com/

Stephen W. replied:
No dentist in town accepts Medicaid. Dental insurance through Delta Dental or BCBS, should run about 250/yr. Check into it. It might be cheaper to get the insurance and then have the work done then paying out of pocket.

Has anyone here ever had Cholesteaotoma surgery? If so, was your doctor able to remove it all without it coming back or without having to have more than one surgery?...
Clintina L. replied:
Hello if you would like to text me 810 543 5234 I have a 15 year old who has had 4 surgeries for it and Friday was his final one and he was implanted. I've studied this stuff and know quite a bit from his team of Doctors
Angie L. replied:
My 15 yr old daughter has had multiple ear surgeries for cholesteaotoma. The first two surgeries she had complications. We found a very good doctor from MI Ear Institute that was able to correct what the previous surgeon had incorrectly done! I highly recommend Michigan Ear Institute. They are located in Novi and Farmington Hills. Sadly, the physician that restored her hearing retired this year.
Anybody have any recommendations for hernia surgeons?
