A few weeks into the pregnancy the mother does an antenatal profile(blood test) for sickle cell, complete blood count, syphillis, blood group, HIV in some cases Rubella test is included. Another test that is done is a 50 g O'Sullivan test and later a blood test for signs of Gestational diabetes. But I've notice that each doctors' modus operandi differs.
