I used to go to the Fransiscan women's health clinic in Tacoma off of 17 th and Pearl. My old gynecologist is gone and retired now. Her name was Elizabeth Sandford. And her assistant was awesome too. I had a hysterectomy two and a half years ago.

I recently saw Dr. Yoon Cho at the Doctor's Clinic Women's & Children's Center in Silverdale and had a great experience. She never said a word about my weight and was super friendly.

Went to Donna in Gig Harbor, she was very laid back... at the first appointment she mentioned weight, cause my General Practioner noted it and she said "but I know you know that, and I know I'm fat too, easier said than done, right?" I see Dr. Christen at the Harrison Medical center in Silverdale. He treats everyone with respect, No matter their size. And he's extremely thorough. He will answer every single question and concern you have and not rush you. He's fabulous.

I go to Orestes Molina (male) at Multi Care in Gig Harbor. I like him a lot.

I see Randy Alejo with Franciscan Womens Health in Tacoma. He is amazing and takes the time to listen to his patients. He remembers you as a person and not as a number or patient. He is the best doctor/OB I have ever had.

Dr. Lo in Silverdale. She delivered my daughter emergency c-section. She also has delivered all of my sisters children (4), she delivered many of my friends' children including fixing or cleaning up scaring from one of their first deliveries. I have no scar from my delivery. And the entire pregnancy she was VERY open with me and precautionary in every way. If I could have her as a regular doctor, I would!

Dr. Zapata is amazing at Kitsap OBGYN in Silverdale!! He not only was excellent as a GYN but he knew what was going on with my lung condition before my other doctors knew. He is very knowledgable and very personalible. He took the time to listen to every problem and concern I had. He explained everything and went over all my options. He didn't just want to push you out the door or force you into something that you don't want like a lot of doctors do. I highly recommend him!!

Dr. Christen is amazing. He delivered my youngest of 5 and I'm currently seeing him for pregnancy #6. I've seen a lot of doctors over the years throughout multiple pregnancies and he's definitely one of the best.

Dr. Bartels is amazing. I had a c section and he was done with the baby out within about 10 min. He is really good really listens and explains everything to you and really listens to your needs and wants.

Dr Bohannon is awesome! She has done all 3 of my C-sections. I wouldn't trust anyone else!

Kitsap Obgyn is the most popular in this area where most people are going to recommend. I just had a repeat csection withDr Hebard. I really liked her. She calm and takes her time with you.

Sanchez made me feel like complete crap like the pain was all in my head and I didn't know what I was taking about I found Dr Quimby she diagnosed me with severe endometriosis she is a wonderful dr I highly suggest her

I used to go to Gillian Esser in Silverdale. The only reason I stopped seeing her is because my new insurance didn't include her in the network. So then I started using Orestes Molina (male) in Gig Harbor. He's an obgyn but you don't need to use him for the ob- part. I prefer male doctors for this sort of thing and he's really nice.

Dr. Quimby has my vote also. She is very helpful and so down to earth. She was the surgeon for my myomectomy... I highly recommend her!

If you really want answers like I did, skip the regular OBGYN adds go to a specialist. The Gyft Clinic in Tacoma is amazing. Dr. Murrain is a wonderful Dr. and all the staff know how to deal with all kinds of hormonal imbalance and infertility. I went there 5 years ago and not only get a diagnosis but I have since had two more children. Edit to add I have PCOS with insulin resistance.

Dr. Quimby is one of the best doctors in the area. Plus she's easy to talk, listens and won't hurry through the appointment and she's got a great sense of humor.

I see Margaret Sandler at Fransiscan here in Port Orchard. I got really sick a couple years ago and she was amazing! She worked very hard to figure out what was going on. She's the one that discovered I have Graves disease. I've put on a lot of weight and she has never made me feel bad about it. She wants to help when I bring it up but she has always made me feel important and valid and has really listened. Love her! She is sending me to a new endocrinologist early next month out in Bremerton.

Dr Zapata is amazing with pcos and listens to his patients but is male! I love him so much! I have seen three drs including him to get pregnant with my first son and it took me 8 years with the first two and only 4 months with his help. I am now pregnant with my second all on my own because of Zapata! He is in Silverdale and is the lead dr for the clinic and birthing center.

I love Dr. Zapata too, but yes he is male. I have heard wonderful things about all the female Dr's at his practice though, so you can't go wrong.

Dr. Christian doesn't take tricare. Kitsap OBGYN takes tricare and are amazing. Honestly, not many docs I'd the area take tricare when it comes to specialities.

I've been seeing providers at Naval Hospital while my husband was still active duty and honestly I think the providers there are great. I'm using their OB services again and their providers are all nice and very informative. Give them a try and if u don't like them u can always ask ur PCM to give u a referral for an off base provider.

Btw, I'm currently using Commander Scott at Naval OB and she's fantastic.

Dr Quimby! I had another female doctor there when I was pregnant 2 times and told me i had to have 3 miscarriages before she would find out what's wrong. Went in to see Quimby put me on progesterone that day incase i get pregnant. She's amazing so far.

Love Dr. Glen Christin. I've seen him for my last two of 6 pregnancies (other pregnancies were in other states) He by far has been the most attentive OB I've had during any pregnancy. He delivered my last two weeks ago and really went out of his way to support me while in labor, even held me while having my epidural placed and talked me through everything knowing it was an intense labor as it was extremely fast.

I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Quimby and Kitsap OB from friends. I unfortunately left Kitsap OB after a very traumatic experience with Dr Zapata. I would NEVER recommend that man to any expecting mother especially not a first time mother. He is incredibly distracted during appointments. Does not give warning what so ever before giving exams. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired to say the least.

If you are open to it I highly suggest Salmonberry Birth Center in Poulsbo

I would not recommend Dr. McIntyre at Kitsap obygn . She went on vacation 3 times while I was pregnant. I seen her once while I was being induced and then she came at the last possible second as I was pushing. She went on vacation when I was 40 weeks, I went 8 days late so she was back by the time I delivered but she told me since she wouldnt be there when I delivered Dr. Zapata would be helping me out and when I seen him 3 days later he said he was going on vacation !!

Kitsap OBGYN in silverdale. That's where I go and the only place I'm comfortable at. Some doctors you may not get along with but I think there's one you'll like

I noticed that you haven't gotten a quick response. Im sure there are some people that will have good local recommendations but my daughter and I (when I was having her), found we like the Dr's in Tacoma best. Even though it meant over an hr drive for her (from Seabeck). Dr Hitchcock at Multicare Womans clinic is amazing and all her colleagues. They deliver at Tacoma General where they have Mary Bridge for assistance with the baby should it be necessary. (It was for my grandson). Then she chose to use her pediatrician's office from childhood. University Place Pediatrics. They do rounds at Mary Bridge to check out newborns before they are released. I couldn't recommend anyone higher than Dr Hautala and his associates. Good luck here in kitsap county. My other daughter had her babies here and had issues with Dr's and also takea her kids to UP Pediatrics in Tacoma (from Bremerton).

I liked Dr. Bohannon in Silverdale as my OB. Pediatrician wise, I'm still trying to find one I like.

I moved to the area around 30 weeks pregnant with my daughter. The doctoring in kitsap county has been nothing but one headache after another. I am in the process of transferring my kids to multicare in gig harbor. Franciscan Health has been awful to work with. They bill for things that never happened and will not answer calls. I delivered my daughter a year ago, got the bill 2 months ago (my maternity and child wellness is 100% covered) and still have not gotten ahold of the billing supervisor.

We LOVE the Doctor's Clinic Women's & Children's Center in Silverdale. Our kids see Dr Hoisington but all the pediatricians there are great, and we have never had any problems with their office or billing staff. Bonus: they have an urgent care center for their own patients only and it's rarely busy.

I was high risk back in the day and Dr. Zapata was the best. Surprised he is not retired yet.
