Linda A. replied:
Peninsula Mobile VeterinaryBill Larson DVM360-598-3900. He comes to your home. I have 4 cats and a dog so it was much easier for him to come to me. I had done it in North Seattle where I brought everyone in and it was stressful. Its stressful on my cats. So when Dr. Larson comes to me he has his big van that has everything in it. Very quiet, cats liked him. He's very good with my fur kids and explaining all the Veterinary info required. For me its very cost effective.

Julia Atwood...kind compassionate, she helped me with my girl & a friend's cats. Pm if you want her number And my heart feels for your loss
Tera W. replied:
Dr. Larson is amazing. He and his assistant are so very sweet. They gave us some meds to make our fur baby comfortable so we had time to break it to the little ones, and so we could all say our goodbyes. The day came and they were so sweet and compassionate, as well as professional about everything. They put him to sleep before doing the injection (something that is important to us, we had one vet just do the injection without putting him to sleep and it was horrible) and made sure we all got the chance to say goodbye one last time. They even arranged for him to be cremated (he was a big dog so burrying him wasn't an option) and they dropped off his ashes. He and his assistant even took the time out of their day to send us a lovely card, expressing their condolences. I highly recommend them. Dr. Larson and his assistant are an amazing team, with love and compassion for our furry friends, as well as for us as we deal with the grief process.
Cheryl E. replied:
Dr Larson of http://www.peninsulamobilevet.com came out this year to help us put our Sunshine to rest. He is amazing and I strongly recommend him. He was so sensitive to our needs and so respectful, kind and gentle with Sunshine and us.
Chelle M. replied:
Sometimes the vet you have a relationship with will do this for you. Our clinic, Companion Animal Wellness Center, does home euthanasia's for our long time clients.
Colette T. replied:
Dr. Larsen with Peninsula Mobile Vet is awesome! He and his wife are so compassionate when it comes to their clients helping furbabies cross to the other side. I had him come out for my dog almost 4 years ago. I am so sorry you are having to make this decision. Not an easy one that is for sure.
Beth B. replied:
Rachel Strohmeyer is incredible. She came to our house on July 9 th to guide us in the process of saying goodbye to our best friend Scout. She let us take as much time as we needed, and was so thoughtful and caring to everyone. It was such a hard thing to do but she made it peaceful.
Sandy P. replied:
I don't have any recommendations on Vet, but have heard LOTS of good things about Rachel Strohmeyer, even from another VET. My only recommendation is to take a lot of photos of your sweet family member before it's too late...To help ease the pain of loss of each of my 4 footed members, afterwards I wrote a letter to each of them telling them all their traits I loved and will miss. Also created a formal hardcopy photo book of each. Was very cathartic and great mementos. My heart is with you.
Sharon H. replied:
Rachel Strohmeyer, is so compassionate, our family and pets love her.

I have used Companion Animal Wellness in Lemolo for Alley, my 15 and a half year old Lab Shepherd mix since 2004 and really like them. While all of their Drs are good I especially like to have Alley seen by Dr Newnham and Dr Atwood. Dr. Julia Attwood does house visits as well.

We usually see Dr Rachel, but everyone there has been wonderful. I've been to a lot of vets over the years because I used to move a lot for work, and really, I can't say enough good things for them. Even when I lost my Bingo recently, they were amazing and extremely compassionate and understanding through the whole experience. You really should try them. http://kingstonvet.com/

I'm wondering if Port Orchard vets are more reasonable priced.
I like Bayview Veterinary Hospital 4214 Kitsap Way Bremerton, WA 98312 (360) 373-1465 Excellent service, no BS, They don't put on a dog and pony show to bilk you out of hundreds of needlessly spent dollars. Very good pricing!
Colette P. replied:
There are vaccine clinics at the 2 PetCo's that you can check on line for more details about. Unfortunately, here in WA state you do have to have a Vet give the rabies vaccine, can not be a vet tech so getting it at Cenex is out. Ridgetop Animal Hospital is very nice and usually you can get in the same day.

Sheila S. replied:
While they are in Silverdale, we've been with Ridgetop Animal Hospital for 12 years now. They are amazing! They have always listened to our concerns, taken as much time as we needed and if we felt the treatment wasn't right for our fur baby, they did not shame or belittle, they supported our decisions and choices. We've been through cancer with one pup and they were amazing! Gave us all the options, where we could do what and when we decided our course, they supported 100%. When the time came to let her go, they were very comforting too. We've been with https://www.facebook.com/123338671096735 Ridgetop Animal Hospital through 3 dogs, 5 cats, 1 rabbit and 1 chinchilla. A bonus is they are a hospital so many things are done right there and they are also a 'residence', that is probably not the correct term. New college students are often working there with the latest information and technology advise. We <3 them!
